i never think n8 is worse.. i mean it gets weaker after update to belle..but it still the king of the camera phone despite 808.. or else i already sell it long time ago... tis is the only phone i kept compare to other phone which i get after that... i used 1x before, the macro shot is not tat good..i cant even focus a small item ...it will only focus if the thing i wan to shoot is big enuff.. i dono wat's wrong with my 1X that time.. shutter is fast but it never really focus well also..it just shoot anyhow and most of the photos appear like blur blur.. same like s3.. burst mode not tat useful for me..

Shoot a human portrait, especially FAIR girls. See what they say? Usually, they prefer them to look fair, not become dark skin tones.

But then, Samseng display may looks brighter, more punch and colorful. Best if send the file over from N8 to Samseng and then compare.

its not your 1X problem. Mine have that same issue. But in low light its loook very bright and clear from the screen once you transfer that photo to computer full of noise

wow u got 808 already??

i dun bother what other say or think..till now, i still feel n8 is a good camera phone...it helps me in a lot in my daily works and never fail me... so i dun need to bring my dslr or camera with me everyday as long as i have n8 with me unless i need some better or important photos.. tats why really looking forward to 808 as upgrade..

It's clear how bad iPhone4S performed and the CNET editor claims it's the King of Camera Phone (instead of N8?). It goes to prove further that most people don't look into the details and just see the small size on screen as long it looks punch, contrasty and colorful (without knowing these can be easily enhance if needed).

One thing to note though, at high megapixel like 34MP or 38MP, you need really steady hands as slight shake and movement can easily cause blur. You may not see it until you zoom in to 100% you may notice even very very minor shake.
But once you resized it down to smaller megapixel, these minor shake is not obvious anymore.

This is common on all cameras including dslr. Thats why they spend on expensive tripods and monopods just to prevent don't forget flash.

DSLR big sensor, so more prone plus nowadays DSLR also high megapixel.
On older DSLR bodies with 12MP or lower, less issue. Many people who move from D90 to D7000 did experience the more sensitive to shake issue, all this due to higher megapixel (obvious when zoomed in)
D800 will be worst,

Thanks sifu. Already sold N8, cannot find a good camera phone, cannot always bring DSLR, so miss many moment already; Now at least got 808 can help to take better quality pictures.
But I shoot more indoor photos.

let's wait D600 release and performance test first
even now nikon D3200 is 24mp, it is like setting lowest benchmark that newer camera should not lower than 24mp haha.... so big possibility D600 will be 24mp i guess... because D800 36mp is over kill... in RAW file la.

wait D600 first haha... when change liao DSLR, the 808 already drop till maybe 1.5k?

one thing to ask sifu andy, you got adjust the curve / enhanced setting in 808 ?

like n8 did.... i mean i use n8 i max contrast and vivid colour all the way one

Saving my money for Microsoft Surface, looks good. Pair with 808 would be even greater:)

No, I leave all at default, lazy to adjust, later I don't like, hard to recover. If you set at default, if you want more punch color or more contrast, just increase it via edit.
The default preset not so punchy and contrasty, but when taking human subject, the skin tones is really nice, especially when under good lighting and using low ISO, the skin color very natural and soft/nice (unlike other camera smartphone, the skin color too much contrast, too saturated, etc).

yes, for apps and overall smartphone functionality i still use my galaxy nexus. but for camera/video and as a second phone for calls/sms i use 808.

and i use 808 as mp3 player as well during commute and in my car transmit the mp3 via fm transmitter.
