Thanks guys, got my answer.

Another one: I tried OCing the GTX660m with MSI Afterburner.. but when I run furmark or 3dmark, GPU-Z doesn't show the increase in the clock speeds. Why..?

nope i can access to the file but cant't open .dmp file..

Hmmmm, does anyone else have this problem? I could OC it last night but now the Core clock just won't change,

Added on August 20, 2012, 2:37 pmFound the source of the problem... Just in case anyone else is facing this.

Clock will only change if you are on Lenovo Dynamic Graphics mode on Energy Management at the taskbar. Damn software..

Added on August 20, 2012, 3:53 pmAgain very weird, now the clocks are stuck at 400+/400+ ...

That cause by Optimus, GPU-Z only require Intel GPU can run ady so Optimus set to integrated graphic...

What are your max Core/Memory clock on y580? Mine's +115+280 =/
Any further, the clocks will reset to 400+/400+ and I'll have to reset the laptop to get the normal speeds back.

Just now I test, u need to open a software which can active the NVIDIA GPU(eg: GPU-Z) then open back CPU-Z then u can view ur NVIDIA GPU...

BTW, did Y580 user got use blueray disc put inside their blueray drive to watch movie???
Since blueray disc still consider expensive than DVD(as student like me, now even I also less use my Y480 DVDRW drive, my FHD and HD movie, games, songs are download via internet)

laugh.gif from i heard from seller, only the processor are refresh and pricing still same, its normal for laptop trend, like last time, 2hd generation processor , 15-2410m, to i5-2430 m until i5-2350m

don't think waiting will make any difference

Most programs doesnt utilize the i7 core anyway, let alone a stronger i7

The newer batch of Y580 is around the corner. Wait if u can wait.
It may come with i7-3630QM+Linux/ freeDOS with cheaper price. drool.gif
