Just got my EB..

Fill in full tank got smell inside cabin. Think a few users got this also. Any clue yet why this happen?

Also realized got wind noise from driver side at above 100.

Then, the fan sound after u switch off the engine, woahh!! That is loud.. Worried neighbour will complain at night.

Other than that, all good.. Acceleration is good as expected.

actually in the user manual they stated 110km/h is the maximum you can go during the first 1K millage. but for my personal opinion, don't go over 90-100 max

The loud fan found after switch off engine is normal for EB CFE. In my case the frequency of fan turning ON getting much less after ODO passed 2k km.

I've allready drove my EB for 12+++ KM now. Yes i also got the same experiance when filling the fuel. Just that one time... and after i turn on my blower and open the window for a few minutes... the fuel odor is gone.. It does not effect anything.

About the wind noise... don't have that... all sound cool and smooth
Oh yes... i've upgraded sound proof to all 4 doors. (EB came standard will all doors sound proof but still not quiet enough) and now... the radio sound better.. the outside noise become softer.. quieter... except for the tire noise.. (oh well maybee i fix that next time)

About the fan... yes it's loud... but it is normal. You'll get use to it later...

Soundproofing... the usual way... go to the car accessories shop and pay them to do the soundproofing..
Just make sure the soundproofing package meet your budget... you can ask the sifus on the ICE section the details regarding soundproofing.

I got 2006 neo, after refill the fuel, the smell of petrol fill inside cabin. But so far nothing happen, i guess its normal for proton

doctor.AGF...i was referring to ntc2000 quotes in which my guess he was trying to explain by wrapping the AC pipe with the soft black cylindrical spongy foam in order to improve the cool breeze.

wud like to share my experience,

changed my hu about a month ago. opted for the cheapo china hu since its cheaper & looks ok.
did asked proton whether will void warranty, they said no. only for the clarion warranty.

lesson learned:
- asked the shop about warranty. i never asked, later onli he told its 3 month onli
- double confirm with them whether they r going to cut any wire. they actually did.
- confirm 1st whether there will be any other hidden charges. i kena:
--- need to buy antenna extension cable - rm15.
--- need to buy special usb adapter - rm15. cannot use others, will burn the hu
- according to them, eb hu frame is not std size, so need to potong a bit. refer pix. otherwise wont fit nicely.
- installation time is ~45min instead of 20min claimed by shop.

good thing:
- can play dvd/cd/usb/micro sd. no gps.
- steering wheel control still works.
- the china hu actually help unleash the true potential of our stock speakers. was quite a surprise to me.
- video quality is excellent (unable to play .mkv files tho)
- on initial startup, proton logo will appear. makes it looks like 'ori'. later found out u can actually change to other brand. all brand got, toyota, honda, beemer, merc etc.
- got bluetooth.

bad thing:
- the firmware is more towards a handphone/pc instead of a hu. ie when playing mp3 files, cannot random/repeat.
- touch screen quality/accuracy is poor, calibrate few times oso no diff. not capacitive.
- most of the time when u restart the car, player will start to 1st song, 1st folder.
- usb sometime wont work.

overall ---> quite happy for what i pay for. its the sound that really matters + the freedom to fit in many songs on dvd/usb

total damage: rm510 (480 + 15 +15).
btw sold my stock hu for rm300 in mudah

Wait till Proton void your electrical warranty and only then you will learn your lesson the hard way. Legally, Proton has every right to void your warranty for messing around with your car's electrical system.

There is nothing to see. You can go ask your lawyer friend. You can go to court and the court will still rule in Proton's favor.

Cool down guys lol, actually i agree with optiplex330 because now its seems OK but when you have any problems for example (damage to ECU) they will say because of the HU the ECU had a short circuit and warranty void. also i noticed that they have cut the original wiring of the car which is a disaster when come to claim warranty as it is clearly stated in the user manual ((do not modify anything or else bye bye warranty)).

The only solution to this case is when you have any electrical problem in the car you should reinstall clarion HU and go to the SC unnoticed. but with your case cannot cuz u already sell in mudah. GOD YOU

Many people do not know that, if SC found out:

When they cut wire, you say goodbye to your electrical warranty

When you use your own oil, you say goodbye to your engine warranty.

When you change to bigger rim/tires, you say goodbye to your drive train warranty.

Engage lawyer to fight your case in court also no use.

there is. we will see whether i will hv any problem with my electricity or not over the course of the warranty. if i dun, then how?

If your SC likes you and you are willing to kowtow to him and he close one eye, you will be fine. If not, repair is going to come out of your own pocket.
