She also got the rotation that she wanted for the first one and it was about 1.5 months ago. Seems happy about it. laugh.gif

How did the appointment go? No need for accelerated visa application, right?

She went for the premium service and was approved on the same day. Now waiting for biometric resident card, which she need it as she is traveling to the US next week. Never ask her why she need the resident card to travel.

She chose the premium service as some other students and the group of IMU students also opt for the same service. Probably she thought it was safer rather than the odd one out. Not sure if it comes from their own pockets, they will do the same. hmm.gif

Ok. I checked with relative who said he will apply for the extension after he goes back to the UK.

Oh, he is back for holidays. Good to be back before going back to start his working life. I told my relative that phase is more difficult compared to her studies period.

Yes will be back next week.
Can you ask relative if she had to produce any other documents apart from passport and CAS? What about proof that she has passed the course? Thanks.

Will check and let you know. A lot of things also acted on her own.

Recently told her to apply credit card but bank did not approve. Ask the advisor for reasons but said not sure why.

Maybe told bank that she has finished the course, that's why bank reluctant to give. Maybe with tier 4 visa and pay slip, then hopefully easier to get.

Was told that without credit card, cannot drive in US, even with valid international driving license. Anybody can help?

Ok thanks.
Re driving in the USA, I think it's to do with payment for rental, insurance and incidental charges, if any.

Got this roughly.
Upload passport and visa to website, get CAS then submit application. Evidence of passing also need to be submitted. Hope it helps.

This thread seems to be pretty inactive lately - I wonder why.

What are the things a soon-to-graduate medical student needs to do if the student plans to undergo housemanship in Malaysia?

Doctoring is no more the glamorous profession it was....

And now that everybody can buy a medical degree, it is no more exclusive either....

We joked in the past how some countries doctors drive taxis....now they drive Uber here....

agreed with your statement.

30 years ago, we need at least STPM / A Level grade 3A1B to get into medical school at public uni. Now private uni offer medical course accepted BBB grades and heard some overseas medical school accept even lower grade student as long you willing to pay.

The BBB grade is only because of the 2011 mmc minimum qualification guidelines... otherwise they will accept lower to fill places....

In Russia Indonesia Egypt, d and e also can.... otherwise do a "Foundation" and miraculously get a and b.....

I don't think they even actually do the foundation, they just issue them a foundation certificate .
