may i ask what brand of swimming attire is long lasting?
i bought ogival shorts type tights but some fabric become damaged/ expand after use 3 to 4 months.. cant use anymore
i prefer the shorts/tights type with another piece of underwear inside.... so far hard to get. ogival had it but now cant find
bought the same brand at Aeon. It turns crappy after a year. I do not think any brand will last if you consistently use it few times a week. Treat it like wear and tear like jogging shoes. Always wash with clean water after use to rinse off the chlorinated water, that should preserve them longer.
Also could not find the same pair anymore, so gave up and bought some no namer jammers online.

Any idea on inexpensive classes I can go to learn butterfly stroke around KL? I can do the other strokes fairly OK and swim fairly often around 2-3 times a week in a condo pool in Mt Kiara. The others I can pick up fairly OK, but butterfly I have a major problem with mastering the dolphin kick/body swerve thingy. Think I may not limber enough. Any suggestions on classes?
I have no qualifications to teach you, but based on my weekly experiences, it will demand a much higher discipline on maintaining fitness level and physique. One of the reason I retired from the other strokes was to maximise calories burned per hour as it is my main cardio.
If you have determination, you should be able to self-learn. Master the freestyle then do a few dolphin kicks for every freestyle laps, it's hard to explain in words but try to read up on undulation, that is what your body should be doing endlessly and effortlessly. GL
BTW, do you live at that condo or do you sneak in to utilise the pool?

Thanks!
I swim after my work so usually I don't have time to swim for one full two hours. LOL I usually get so tired and won't be able to wake up the next day even if I sleep early that day. Perhaps I need to train further. But I like swimming instead of jogging because I fell down in high school and busted my knees. Now I couldn't really do land sports without feeling slight pain on one of my knees so swimming is my to-go exercise. I did read about all the articles swimming vs jogging. While jogging burns more calories, I like the fact swimming tones your entire body instead of just one part of it.
That's ok, after a year, you're going to get used to it and 700m will be a bore. I don't like to stress my knees from jogging so swimming is my forte.
The other main drawback you would experience is the sudden elevated hunger level after a long swim, you might be tempted to snacking more than you should. I don't have any tips to suppress that, you're going to have find a way to control it yourself
