Sometimes can't turn on, sometimes can't detect routers.

u mean 7420?? reinstall the driver?

I tried searching for latest drivers using Window's Device Manager. No results.

Anyway how do you guys turn on WiFi? It always tells me my Wireless adapter is not enabled, but I have no idea where the option to turn it on is. I already tried using the FN key and the radio icon.

Go download from dell website, dont use windows device manager.

use the driver disc. its provided.

Whenever I play videos (using Media Player Classic), the fan starts spinning really fast and becomes real noisy. Anybody else experiencing this with their 15R SE FHD?

Change the graphic card for media player classic to Power Saving instead of High Performance.

In power saving it plays smoother and less noise (weird right, should be opposite)

control panel > power plan > (based on which plan u using. balanced r recommended) change plan settings –> change advanced power settings > processor power management > maximum processor state > set 99% for battery & plugged in > done

u really need a cooler pad.. play videos the fan will spin around 3.2k rpm the max. u can use http://hwinfo.com/ or http://www.almico.com/speedfan.php

this will prevent ur processor hit the max turbo boost figure. u will notice ur processor will reduce. mine >> GPU < 55 deg @ CPU < 75 deg

open task manager kill rundll32.exe by end process it.

Added on September 6, 2012, 9:23 amu can try out my way cos previously i almost gave up inspiron.. my GPU can hit 128.5 deg but doesn't feel like boiling & w/o running anything on background my CPU can hit > 65 deg..

don't open the games at start menu.. i dunno y it will spiked the usage & ur fan will start kicking.. just test it no harm de..

rmb alwis flash the latest bios for ur lappy. i flashed alot times no issue at all.

Not sure if it's the same problem, but I also couldn't connect to wifi on my 15r se.

It turned out to be the damn McAfee antivirus that came with the laptop.

I uninstalled it and downloaded AVG. Problem solved.

McAfee r useless.. i always del it.

someone can tell me how to turn on le webcam ?
