i didnt know we can transfer the immobilizer to a different 3rd party casing

our saga's is more compact than having one key + one remote unit dangling, but it becomes longer and limited design for the remote just to make it small

Perodua Myvi key/remote set:

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Notice how the buttons on the remote are slightly below the surface of the casing, this can prevent mispresses

So in summary, MyVi>Saga

Both of my key cracked due to dropout, new casing need around 60-80 each...so just live with it like this.

Yup, Bro...my suggestion is 2make like Myvi one ie use ori key with immo chip & separate covered alarm remote module.
Juz remove batt3 fr ori key 2disable alarm remote in ori key.

Added on May 28, 2012, 4:43 pmps. Not need transfer immo chip. Keep in ori key & use key 2start car.
pps. If can find shop, feel now got shop that can also copy immo code to new key...not 100% sure...
Hv seen banner up in few shops clain can do. tongue.gif

In the early days I did press the buttons accidentally a few times, but it's not happened for a very long time. So I'm pretty happy with the key and remote design.

Besides, comparing my regular key and my spare key, the rubber buttons recess quite a bit after use, so it's harder to press it accidentally.

Should have a plastic part that prevents accidental presses

originally thinking of wrapping it with leather.. cut holes for the button
but that might be a bit complex and not that thick..

if taking a simply way, can just get a plastic from cd cover,
cut holes and put on top of the button area..

for a better one might need to fabricate the parts tongue.gif
it should be like a small bulge over the buttons

or

something like honda civic key fob

Good Idea #2! Tks, Bro!
Will search thru my stock of odd bits & ends. Mayb can find 2 (or better still 4...for spare key) washers with correct hole size as remote buttons.
Then spray them black b4 glue onto correct position over buttons.

TQ, Bros!

ps. A good example of how more minds working together produce results! smile.gif

Hi,

I already have saga BLM few years since 2010 and mine is old batch with Mitsu GB that will shoot to 4krpm in 120km/h speed.

Want and open opinion from you guys especially from david.

Is it worth if I change the mitsu GB to Getrag GB (new version saga GB)?

Because I want to save fuel more and want to reduce the RPM if tekan in highway.

Already ask the SC, its around 4k without labour charge for the Getrag GB

Not worth it.

The Getrag GB RPM is around 3600rpm @ 120km/h, only around 400rpm lower than current GB.

Anyway, the old GB is from aichi kikai (Nissan), not Mitsu.

Not worthy for the time being.

Getrag = RM4k
Clutch set = RM300
Gear oil = RM80
Labor = RM500

RM4880, you can pump petrol for the next few years. HOWEVER, would be good if can find any import model's Mits GB that can fit to our S4P. Normally used GB around 1~2k, and manual seldom give trouble(unless you're super bad luck).

Set that all aside, if you tell me ultimately you're looking for speed and don't mind spend money, might as well 4G63T blink.gif
