Added on May 18, 2012, 6:10 pm QUOTE(V12Kompressor @ May 18 2012, 06:06 PM) ps: A damaged antenna doesn't benefit the thief either Yup, true ... But strong possibility (& fear) that guy wld let out his frus on the antenna or worse on the car itself!!Try superglue a bottlecap on its bottle. Can you take out the bottlecap without "harming" the bottlecap exterior and also the "screw" part? Unless he's a "gentleman" thief...? This post has been edited by zeone: May 18 2012, 06:10 PM |

QUOTE(dares @ May 18 2012, 06:21 PM) While that's true, the thief doesn't know you superglued your antenna. What might happen is that he'll apply kuasa lembu and try to twist your antenna out. In the end it is not the thief that ends up with a damage antenna, is that THE VICTIM end up with a damaged antenna. Either way it's "bye bye" antenna... Only difference is whether antenna base is also damaged or not...more $$$? |

Hi & Good Morning, Everyone!!
Juz2share... There's a round black rubber plug at side of each door in line with door handle. Remove that "plug". A Philips head screw can be seen in centre of hole. Chk if that screw is fully tightened. Fyi mine was : 1 fully tightened BUT the other 3 were VERY LOOSE!! I hv oledi tightened them. Dunno, if not tightened, this cld be a source of noises from door or might cause any probs in future... |

QUOTE(kongjong @ May 20 2012, 03:57 PM) drumbrake problem seems no cure to it. some ppl comment as long as under warranty, saga users are allowed to exchange for new one foc. but the point is this not a long term solution. how abt after 3 years warranty? it the problem come once a month (conservative measure), exchange a new drumbrake + labor could cost more than RM50/100. will proton solves this problem thoroughly? i yet to own saga flx but plan to get one. if those problem remains, i had to postpone the plan. any idea abt those issues like drumbrake & dashboard sound? pls comment. Only RM50/100 for NEW drumbrake & labour charges?thanks Bro...that's VERY CHEAP man!!! Pleez dun complain, ok? ps. My ole gen Saga Ori one costs RM400 each!! NOT including labour!!! QUOTE(coolkwc @ May 20 2012, 04:39 PM) I opened mine, all 4 not tighten also...this make me wonder is that some special reason they doing so? Anyway i tighten all 4, tested door handle open close, lock/unlock without problem, so let see. Yup, me also tested after tightening only one first.Anyway, just share, the 3 nuts at your upper pic (screw the lock mechanism), some of it also quite loose, i tighten it also before. IINM Dun think that screw does anything else except to hold door handle in place. Re 3 screws @ lock area, mine were oledi tight. So feel shld also not be loose. IINM they're for holding that end of lock mechanism in place there. All these are assembly oversight items. QC guy juz looked 2C the screws were there nia!!! Nvr chk-ed tightened properly or not!! |

Hi & Good morning, Everyone!!
From most of posts involving probs in Proton cars, believe mostly due2 Vendors trying 2make highest profits from supply of parts. This, indirectly, is due2 low prices offered by Proton. Yup, it's that "vicious" cycle in material world in Life. No escape wan. If lucky, there wld b those few vendors who are happy enuf with minimal profit margin but more emphasis on integrity in their ventures. If so, then that batch of cars wld get better made parts. In ole Saga days, it was widely known that there were 2 groups of vendors...a better supplier for higher end variants! As such, buyers of lower end variants eg std specs cars, wld b fitted with lower quality items supplied @lower costs...thus more probs. However, it now appears it's a totally new scenario cos even top end variants eg FLX SE also suffer similar fate!! Phew... Added on May 21, 2012, 10:21 amps. Me sympathise with all Bros hving drum brake probs. Drum brakes are "ancient" tech. Frankly there shld b NO probs watsoever being very ole tested tech. So only obvious reason is low quality item supplied by vendor!! For FLXs! Cos no such probs faced by BLMs/FLs.... This post has been edited by zeone: May 21 2012, 10:22 AM |

QUOTE(kongjong @ May 21 2012, 10:22 AM) yes, zeone. Yup, the Saga is truly Value for $$$$ car of good reasonably up2date tech specs. happen to FLX SE as well no excluding from standard 1.3 to 1.6 SE. perhaps, those parts vendor being selected based on car range with consideration of cost mostly. anyway, i'm impressed by saga cvt series which makes me want to own one. even perodua doesnt have it. hahaha... think i need to be patient a bit till the issues gone... will its? If only vendors given tender 2supply parts are of more integrity & responsibility when earning a living, then Proton cars wld b a very good choice! Unfortunately, that has NOT been the case... Wld the present probs go away? Mayb with vendors who hv a conscience & integrity when making profits....?? Your guess as good as anyone's... Hv a good week, Bro! |

QUOTE(coolkwc @ May 21 2012, 01:46 PM) Believe me, in Proton car, everything that can be dismantled. rotatable, open-able things will have possibility to vibrate and making noise, just depends on your luck. IINM & frankly, the above point is TRUE for ALL vehicles...This area including plastic door trim, dashboard, steering, center console, power windows, seats.....etc Pls chk out similar (even worse?) complaints in other car makes forums... However, hv 2admit the possibility of such happening in Proton cars might be slightly higher... Why? Lower cost of production...and consequently, poorer tolerance ratios in manufactured parts. An unavoidable effect in such a scenario. So, Proton buyers need 2hv Lady Luck more on their side... |
