They want to avoid fraught case so before they process the case they need to call cus to do some verification to ensure they hv apply for this card..

It seems OCBC don't trust their sales agent which is funny... I applied online, then scanned over my application on Wednesday, on Thu the sales agent called me (which is like the 2nd or 3rd time) telling me someone else is going to call to verify and tell them you've been informed about this and that bla bla bla. When did 2nd person called to verify, it was true of the verification done. Basically it is to verify the sales agent rather than me. LOL. Now waiting on the other call and approval.

I experienced the same when I applied for Standard Chartered c.card 2 weeks ago. So far, it had been verified twice. Could be a standard operating procedure across the industry.

It is not about trust or not, I believe this is the SOP. smile.gif I had the same experience with my Maybankard2Gold also, though they called and offered to me. Right after I confirm that I wanted it, another person called to verify.
My OCBC Ti is also the same like yours, applied through online and another person will call to verify. smile.gif

Always request for the MCC Code.
Based on the decription given for the transaction... it's not correct at all.

A quick search for "BEACON INT.SPECIALIST PETALING JAYA MYS" yields a real specialist center in PJ @ http://www.beaconhospital.com.my/contact-us/contact/

not sure whether it helps to call them up or not...i'll see whether i free and convenient to call them up..

i saw this a few days after the transaction, as the amount is correct and the only risk is that i'll get 1% instead of 5%..

but if my call leads to them correcting to the mcc code and swipe machine in the future for the benefits of everyone, i'll do it...

There'a limit of monthly cashback of RM50 after which you earn RM0 and no points collected.

Sorry ya.. I am new at all these. Currently I am having MBB2U for the past 1 year.. and from there, we will be able to collect points regardless of whether we are entitled for the cash back or not..This is not the case for this credit card? Just wondering before I jump in.. and we will still need to pay for the government tax for the first year right?

All Credit Card issued in Malaysia is REQUIRED TO PAY Govt Service Tax.
If you signup from The Curve, you may get the GST offset.

Normally no documents need to bring along as the booth would be able to print your latest EPF statement (as proof of income)
