QUOTE(Human Nature @ May 12 2012, 11:45 PM) No, just telling me that my card was approved... The GSC rebate was told by my agent, if I didn't get, I'll sound my agent. Bought 5 tickets today, watched movie with cousins. 1 of them was free and 2 will be free after deducted from the RM 28 rebate. Eventually will only pay for 2 tickets. |

QUOTE(iVW @ May 14 2012, 07:42 PM) great one, i do remember i submitted my form later than yours. mine appealed for one time and i just hand on the letter with my address and name on it, there gets approved. Well, I only appealed once but somehow I think my agent didn't help me to follow up and I was also busy due to work commitment. So, I'm not sure how this thing was stuck since 17th April 2012!fruitie is extraordinary exception case, which struggled for multiple application resubmission. Then, I have decided to call them up one fine Friday and got my approved the following Monday. QUOTE(beyond86 @ May 14 2012, 08:33 PM) Hi, how you all do the appealing when got rejected from OCBC? Well, I just used the self-service menu via the hotline. by email? if yes, need email to which address? |

QUOTE(then_then @ May 15 2012, 12:11 AM) Ocbc Bank will be introducing a new program specially for fresh graduates (new to workforce) to get Ocbc Titanium card. Finally OCBC is doing something about it. Targeting markets are as below: 1) Below 28 years old 2) Degree holder & above 3) Not credit card holder or using credit card less than 6 months 4) Gross salary equal or above RM 2500 per month P.S: For those who has been rejected but fulfill requirements above can re-apply under this new program. So, what's the name of this credit card and what are the great things about it? This post has been edited by hye: May 15 2012, 09:28 AM |

I still didn't receive the pin number and called to OCBC CS just now, they will resend again.
Managed to check my statement date and due date with the guy. Statement date: 13th of the month Due date: 1st of the following month I tried to change my due date because I'll use GIRO and usually pay my CC at one shot when my salary is out at the end of the month but the guy said once I change it I'll lose all the promotions for my Titanium... The GST is already charged to my card by the way... |

QUOTE(ronnie @ May 19 2012, 10:04 PM) That's not very very true. Is it? Let me call again tomorrow and hopefully another person picks up my call and I'll ask the same thing again.Changing Statement Date does not affect any OCBC promotions. You don't get selected promotion because you do not match their criteria. TBH, to have due date on every month's 1st is very inconvenient for me. Thanks for the heads-up. |

QUOTE(David83 @ May 20 2012, 12:13 AM) Ya, I think I changed my MBB as well.QUOTE(tbheng @ May 20 2012, 12:30 AM) Hmmm, sorry to ask: Isn't having due date on 1st of month meeting your objective of "pay my CC at one shot when my salary is out at the end of the month"? Why would it be "inconvenient"? I am in the same boat as you. So I pay a couple of days before due date which is end of month after my pay is out. At this moment, as a contract staff, my salary will be out only on the 29th. I use GIRO, and it needs time to transfer the fund to OCBC. For small value of amount, I don't mind to pay earlier but what if it is a huge amount? I might need my salary to cover up a little bit. Anyway, I'll be converted to permanent staff and my salary will be out every month's 20th or 1-2 days earlier. Guess, I'll need to bear with it for temporarily if I decide not to change the statement date eventually. QUOTE(zenquix @ May 20 2012, 01:04 AM) @fruitie: they said same thing. I insisted on changing. i still get promotion smses. The promotion they meant i think are the "brochures" icause you will get them late I see. OK, now I'm pretty relieved. Thanks. QUOTE(cempedaklife @ May 20 2012, 08:58 AM) i'm planning to get my statement day delay by one or two days too... I asked already, the fellow told me only physical statement for now...I've 2 insurance policy that are billed quarterly, it's a pain in the arse that both got billed on the same statement month, one of them billed on the last day of my statement btw, anyone know how to opt for not receiving hard copy statement? at this age, i'm more and more conscious on reducing paper usage, and those statement really as of no use to me, every month tore them up and throw them away makes me feel bad... i've already disabled most of my monthly expenses that send me statement, left ocbc only... QUOTE(aeiou228 @ May 20 2012, 11:10 AM) Don't change fruitie. Your ocbc statement date is 13th and your Mbb is month end and this is the perfect combination for a better spending management and planing to max up the rm50 cash back for each card. Nope, you got me wrong. My OCBC statement date's good but just that I want 1-2 days delay only. For GIRO purpose. Just give a thought over this question: You want 30+13 days to plan your spending and max up rm100 cash back or you want a shorter 30 day to max up rm100 cashback for both cards? |

QUOTE(aeiou228 @ May 20 2012, 03:20 PM) In that case, you don't even need to change date. Giro can be cleared in the next day if u transfer it in the morning. Also, ocbc allows 5 days grace without penalty interest charge after the due date. Oh!!! That's cool, then I don't need to change already. Thanks. |

Of course I'll pay on 29th but just afraid if I only do it in the evening, then will delay my payment.
No issue now. |

QUOTE(aeiou228 @ May 20 2012, 05:35 PM) There is no official policy on this from ocbc. I discovered it from my own experience with ocbc when my payment was late by 5 days n no late payment penalty charged to my account. Similar to Citibank, it gives 7 days grace after due date. I guess ocbc should be 7 days too. Alright, thanks for the info!Pls try it at your own "risk" to give a second confirmation account on this matter in this thread. But I'm not going to take the risk, hopefully the fund will reach OCBC before due date. QUOTE(cempedaklife @ May 20 2012, 05:44 PM) hey fruitie, Yeah, they still don't have e-statement.. i called the CS just now too. yeap, only hardcopy statement is available now...want to disable pun tak boleh, not that i want opt for my statement to be emailed on the "not getting promotion" if change statement date, the CS clarified that you just dun get the promotion brochures/leaflets together with ur statement by mail, like what we usually get, however you are still eligible for those promotions. Oh, that's a small problem. Good info for other newbies like me. |

QUOTE(chrono7 @ May 25 2012, 06:42 PM) Got my card finally My PIN took more than 14 days, during my 11th day, I felt something amiss. Called them up, they resent again. My mum just received it today. It took about 3 weeks from application till card arrival. The delay part was at the pending document as the agent didn't inform me that I need to submit a document. Activation is pretty direct. Now waiting for the PIN to arrive. Any idea usually how long it takes to reach? I will register mine later. Oh and the first PIN came only on Wednesday but too bad the new PIN will supersede the old PIN. So be patient. QUOTE(shamsay @ May 25 2012, 07:33 PM) my application got rejected..just received the mail from OCBC yesterday..why they reject my application?i already have cc with other 3 bank.is it because of this? They can't really reveal the rejection reason, so I think the best thing you could do is to appeal now. This post has been edited by fruitie: May 25 2012, 10:56 PM |

QUOTE(kurtkantoi @ Jun 1 2012, 02:39 PM) Called OCBC's CS. Yes. They approved my application on 30th May 2012. According to CS, they will send my card via normal mail within 8-10 days after my card approved. After received the card, I need to call them to activate the card. Is that the normal way? Easy peasy to activate. |
