Looking for Outdoor Filter for washing tonnes of clothes (not drinking) with these:

Backwash function
Water pressure will not drop after years of usage
No require electricity to power
Low cost
easy/cheap to maintain
Durable
Easy to DIY service, no need to call serviceman.

Any recommendation with pricing?

Btw any membran vs sand pros and cons comparison?

A rm400-600 sand filter will do the job. Pressure drop high is due to the filter blocked, so doing back flush will do the trick thumbup.gif

Hi, I am living in a condo in wangsa maju.... Am thinking about a Poe filter. Considering 3m ap membrane filter.. Buy I am afraid that the water here too dirty and will clog up the filter very fast and I don't think there is a back wash function....or should I consider a cheaper sand filter with back wash function? If I choose that option, since I live in a condo I hhave now where to back wash it to

Hi guys,
I would like to share my experience with Alphamax.
I purchased a water filter from Alphamax last April 2014 and they gave me some cash voucher so I went to their shop at Kuchai Lama to get a water dispenser (Later I realize that we can get cheaper even without the cash voucher other places) . I carried the water dispenser back home and put it in store room and it remain in the original sealed box. I just got my house ready recently so I request Alphamax to install my water filter and water dispenser last Saturday.
I opened the water dispenser from the original box on that day before the installer come and found that water filter's white color plaster panel already turn yellowish and there are some stains on it. Other than that, I can see that the water dispenser's original brand name "Magic" is being removed and the mark is still there sweat.gif sweat.gif
The WORST part is when the installer put the water supply in the dispenser, he heard something strange inside the dispenser so he open it and found 1 of out of 3 filters inside the dispenser is missing!! The water splash everywhere inside the dispenser after gone through the first filter since the missing filter is place between the first and third filter.
The installer ask me get the missing filter from them and I hope there is no extra charge for that.

If you plan to get anything from Alphamax, please make sure you check what's inside the box before you bring it back home.

most of them done a good job for outdoor water filter , check your budget and their maintenance cost if suit your lifestyle..
avoid those which are not normally found in malaysia like no sales and support office. (not named in your list)

Bro , i havent install yet

1. yellow-brown water - all outdoor can solve this problem.
2. eczema - my doctor told me , dont take bath in hot water as it will dry our skin..i not sure out door filter can prevent this. (my humble advise)
3. itchy skin - same for item 2. there are people said use alkaline water to wash hand to neutralize our Ph level.. personally dont think it will work ..smile.gif

maybe other can answer your question better..

1) If your house is 10 - 20 years may be the underground pipe is GI pipe and it has rusted, so no matter how good your outdoor filter is, there is no way to clear off the yellowish water. If that is the case, you need to get a shower filter (installed at shower point)

2) Eczema, depending on which body shampoo you are using, i tried many even those recommended by doctors but i ended up with Shokubutsu Original but some of my friends say it is dry for them. Another best recommendation, Ezerra Body Shampoo, i usually buy them from Big Pharmacy, much cheaper compared to Guardian or Watson.

3) I read online that alkaline water helps to cure eczema and the best is KANGEN, even i have a friend who could get me a cheaper price for Kangen but it is just too EXPENSIVE, so i got Rubine instead. As per photo you can see I am using both Rubine Alkaline Water Filter and 3M DWS2500 . Got them both free from my supplier or else gonna cost me a bomb for both smile.gif. From my experience using the Rubine water filter for 6 months, Alkaline water doesnt really help and my mother and wife had some site effect after drinking it. However, the acid water is useful, it dries up my eczema faster and reduce itchiness. If you really have eczema you can give it a try but if you do not have any skin problem then better dont try alkaline water, just drink health water like 3M and Aquaphor. My doctor always tells me, for eczema you must drink more and more water smile.gif

I use diamond outdoor & indoor filter.  The outdoor filter do have have backwash capability and I do monthly backwash & call diamond guy to take out the filter for full cleaning every 6 months.  I have to tell you that even after monthly backwash, you'll be surprise to see the amount of dirt trapped during the 6 months full cleaning (manually take out and jet wash the filter).  I think any water filter system can do a good job, so long as you do the proper maintenance.  I don't really feel the water pressure is affected, even just before the full half yearly cleaning.
*
How much do they charge you for the full cleaning service? I'm considering the Diamond Outdoor Filter.. if the maintenance cost works out to be cheaper than the AP902.

Anybody got mixed-sand filter around RM5xx to recommend? Without carbon blocks/activated carbon?

finally bought Alphamax A0845 outdoor water filter. RM 2399 with lifetime warranty for body, 3yrs warranty for stainless steel valve (they claim its free upgrade during the promo and worth rm300). Installation included.

The salesman claim no maintenance required except the backwash every 2 weeks. I'm google and the info correct eventhough some other salesman mention that not logic if totally no maintenance for water filter. Its make sense but salesman counter back saying that different sand type they using and how the unit perform backwash. top down. I'm happy as long no rusty color water coming into my house and manufacturer willing to give longer warranty. That mean they confident with the product.

Initial want to buy AP902 or Nesh membran but after considering cost of maintenance and water pressure concern, i choose this alphamax.

As we know got 3 type of outdoor water filter. My priority is unit that not filtering chlorine (afraid my tank getting worst) and less maintenance. I'm target to used at least 10 yrs. so its about RM 240 per year. Acceptable cost for me.

Maybe those who already used this brand can also comment their experience. So whoever survey outdoor water filter may consider this product or not..
