I'm going to install an outdoor water filter for my new house.Anyone using waterco outdoor filter here? Any recommend?

Was using that before for more than 8 years or so before I changed them after moving house. No problem. Only that the plastic connector at the top cracked due to the sun. Another is that their connectors are slightly bigger in size. So, will need to use the adapter to connect to the water piping.

100% fully manufactured and recognized in the USA,

cannot remember if it was w250 or w300.. that was sooooo many years ago... Now using GE..

I have it installed since Feb 2012 and using it until now. Perhaps is time for me to write a small review about Puregen POE water filter (Sand Type).

I bought this PGM942 from Dealmates.com.my for RM599 only, + RM50 for water tank wash. On Feb 2012, 2nd day after I moved in to new house, they came installed the water filter for me. The installation very fast and the installer is very familiar with the installation process. Within 30 mins, everything is done! Next the installer went up and washed the the water tank for me. Even this this new house, the water tank really dirty, full of mud, sand and stone.

What I need to do to maintain the water filter is to backwash it every weekend, check out how dirty the water is from Syabas.


Is this filter efficient? How do i know?

Right after the Puregen water filter installed, i also changed the water filter cartridges. After 3 months, the 1st 0.5 macron filter still clean like new!!!


So based on my real user experience, i strong recommend to get PureGen and i have no doubt of their quality and capability!

sounds pretty good. price must be at least 3M's range.

their outdoor unit Mach has twin tank, and does not need backwash (10 years warranty)
indoor unit has Macguard, K2, and K5


anyone mind to share their experience with kinetico?

solartech is the local agent for kinetico
it does backwash! the "timer" depends on your water usage.
the timer does not need electricity to run.

mine works well, but then my area water really clean. the backwash water come out also clear 1
