Any outdoor water filter to recommend? Budget <900 includes installation. Rarely use water at home due to travelling, no cooking. So not considering those branded ones...

Getting Started

QUOTE(sapper @ May 19 2014, 08:19 PM) Just fixed my outdoor water filter today - DIY. Normal FRP935 with 5 layers filtration. For ordinary household usage you do not need all those expensive filters. For indoor I have a 1st stage pensonic filter followed by a national filter. The water is very clean and I sometimes drink without boiling. I make ice straight from the filter. I do not think all those expensive brands will make the water any cleaner than my present setup. To set your mind at peace just boil the filtered water. My outdoor filter cost RM399. DIY RM25. Can share your DIY water filter system?

hi all....i've been surveying around for POE filters and also for drinking water
so far i must say Kinectico does attract me and I just did some enquiry about their products
first for POE....is their MACH 2060 model with the cost of RM5290 now.....what they explained on the material makes sense and the concept of their filtration and backwashing does make sense according to their survey on my water....my filter needs to be backwashed for every 200gallons of treated water...that translates into 757 liters of water approximately comes with 10years of warranty and they said guranteed that the media does not require change due to their technology and concept
based on my 35cubic meter usage.....it will bump up my usage by another 11cubic meter...which translates from a bill of rm28=/- to about RM38 or RM40 approximately
the other product that I enquired was the K5 drinking water filter which filters for drinking water....rm3490 subsequent filter change is rm211 for every 2000 liters....which in my case i probably need 3 sets per year
to be honest this brand is sort of premium and elite....although i'm considering this by the fact that it has zero interest payment for 12months....
any other recommendation that can match up to kinectico?

QUOTE(hushymushy @ Aug 19 2014, 01:41 PM) any other recommendation that can match up to kinectico? For POE, this backwash-able filter system is value for money. RM450 (NW1 cartridge) only. Installation is RM150. Replacement cartridge got 2 types: NW1 RM40 and NW3 (Pleated) RM80 http://newworld.com.my/secure_back_wash.html As for POU, Culligan IC-EZ-4 is the most value for money NSF 42 & NSF 53 certified drinking water filter under RM400. Hi...i am using waterco for 5-6 years now. As my car porch compound is small, the filter was installed outside the gate. So it was under sun and rain all the time. I wonder whether the "head" or the pipes will give way over time. And any idea how soon i need to change the sand inside? I recalled the installer told me that after 5 years the sand need to be changed.

Hi vendors, I'm looking for outdoor water filter for budget below than RM1500. I stay at Puchong which facing the water pressure issue and yellowish water too. I already have the eSpring for drinking water, I just need a general water filter to have clean water supply for whole unit.
Please recommend.

Should be rm500-800. Then look for Indon/Bangla workers that know piping work. Pay them rm50.
