after i get the rufund og G53sx, i but G55VW,
my G55vw keep send in 3 times d, 2moro will send in for the 4th times, due to over heat, run prime 95 2minutes the temperature already shoot to 104 degree c.


NO more asus product in my list anymore, is this time send in and the temperature still no stable, i will ask for refund again~
maybe will go to MSI

omg .. even g55 have problem .. this is my first time i sent in ... haizz .. msi not bad ... how about alienware mx14 ? price around there as well ..

if get the refund, baru consider to buy new 1, if didnt get the refund, aiks.... will stay with g55 also....

I have no idea..used it normally the night before, no gaming, no rendering, just browsing (it's just a netbook duhh)..then the next day cannot on already...i think HDD problem, coz got no sound at all...since it's quite cheap, just RM850, im not in the state of complaining...bought a retina mbp already

My optical drive just rosak today =/ should I go and claim warranty or just ignore and buy external dvdrw since I scare my laptop once go then will never come back to me

Optical drive should be fine. If SC don't have parts, you can ask them to just take it out and return the laptop to you (a good SC will put a dummy caddy in place to prevent foreign objects getting into the laptop), and when they get parts, you just bring the laptop to them again to put it back in.

ohh ok, since my area don't have SC so i was wandering whether they will mail over the part to their retailer and replace it for me though. Since my uni going to start soon and this is the only laptop I have

4 Days ago I went to Low Yat Plaza ASUS ROYAL CLUB MALAYSIA service center. My laptop heatsink fan was old n slow in rpm. So I went to the service center for a heatsink replacement which they said will cost mt RM150.
My laptop was working great just a bit hot.
When I pass to the counter. The technician checked everything, display, HDD, RAM ...everything good.He said should be ready in a week.
After a few days, they call me saying my Mainboard got burn, no display and I have to pay rm500 more. That thing is in your hand. Yous company should bear responsible with it. WTF is this a scandal ???

And this is what they reply me :

Sorry to inform that if you only change Fan and the unit won’t be able to function normally. Sorry to let you know that technical part inside unit as we cannot predict when it will spoilt . Sorry about the inconvenience caused. Thanks.

p/s the warranty expire 2 month ago.

Go back to the re-seller who sold the unit to you. The process is the same. The caveat is that the re-seller may not have the dummy caddy
