They did change the hdd, coz my original one was by hitachi, and the new one is samsung. There's a high chance that the motherboard was taken because of its quality (original OEM part) and replaced with an aftermarket mobo. After all, who can check? Only the people with lots of experience in PC hardware can really tell you whether it's the same or not. So in the end, these third party contracted SCs profit like hell.

For me I don't like Dell because of their uncompetitive hardware for their prices. But, so far never heard any complaints for their after service. So sad for us consumers, must compromise between performance and after sales service
