Last week i send my n55 to service due to unable to turn on and some keyboard problems, then they said they will email me the quotation for the repair price.

Then yesterday i call the number on the service phone, they told me the repair is waiting confirmation from owner, so i told them i didn't even receive the quote how to confirm? doh.gif

So i asked him how much is the price? But he said the repair centre never state in the system so he don't know.

Then he said system stated can not reach my phone when call me, so i just asked them what is the repair centre number so i can call them to confirm. But the answer is the centre don't have a phone number for us to call, so he can only make a reminder for them to call me again. rclxub.gif

Then today i went to lowyat asus club since i have time in the evening, and asked them to check the status since no body call me or send any email. Then the asus club guy checked and told me they also don't know the price since the repair centre never inform them. And i can only wait again, but at least he gave me the number of the asus club so i can call them to check later.

I was like why the fck the repair centre, asus club and call centre don't communicate with each other? If the system said waiting my confirmation that means they have determined the faulty parts and the cost to repair, but they don't wanna tell the call centre and asus club, and don't update the system, making the life of the call centre guy and asus club guy difficult only doh.gif

What the hell is happening to their working flow man? Every time i went the club workers were very busy checking stuffs in and out, but most customers wait for a long time sitting behind, then when their turn is to wait another round in front of the counter, so slowwwwwwwwww.

And the repair and confirmation thingy is even more shitty, 3 months until 9 months of service period doh.gif

ASUS give 2 years warranty and 1 time warranty is like taking so many months shakehead.gif

If it happens the same night, you should be able to exchange 1-to-1 from the dealer you dealt with right? Why bother sending to the service centre?

Next time, if something happen like this, record it down using your phone and prove it to them when you send in for warranty.

Tell you what, they sub out all their repairs to other repair guys who is not working under Asus. That's what I heard when I went and claim for my laptop, heard the CS guy chit chatting with a dealer in Plaza Lowyat. That is why, you don't get any quotation from anyone, coz they basically sub out all kinda shit to other smaller companies to cut cost.

So technically they are not really "under" Asus. whistling.gif

I think parts will be definitely originals, but what I meant is the professionalism you're getting, will not be a 100%.

Let me put it this way, Asus = contractor, sub out technician = labourer.

A house starts getting renovated. Contractor told his labour to do everything, but the labour don't update the contractor on the problem faced / the things messed up. At the end of the day, when the owner comes back with complains with damaged doors / walls, contractor will take it all. Whose fault is it? Contractor never QC, laborer never feedback on things they don't know / not sure how to do. I strongly believe at some point, Asus will fail tremendously regardless of how many good product they produced.

If Asus can't keep a customer happy, customer will walk and choose other brands, like me, you and everyone else in this thread. nod.gif

That makes sense? icon_rolleyes.gif

In my case, I believe one unpleasant experience edi enough for me to go for other brands now.

Whenever friends / relatives of mine say to buy Asus, I will ask them to think properly and keep their finger crossed LOL.. yawn.gif

out of topic : ok service from lenovo , they fix my problem , take times range from 3 days to 3 weeks . but the supervisor at kelana mall center is shit , he's b**** fight and roar to customer , worst case he's a nerd and noob , he told me laptop would shut down automatically if over 70C -.- i ask him are u sure , and he shout at me "YES" , really shit knowledge he got there haha .

amaze01, I bought my ME400CL in June 2013 I had touchscreen problems and the unrepairable cannot charge problems, I have sent it in for repairs 5 or so times.

The last time i sent in was may 22 2014 which is about a week before 1 yr warranty is over. They have not given it back till now (almost 4 bloody months) They called me 2 weeks to say they have approved a replacement unit, but no more news after that. It's been 2 weeks!!!

Do you think they will give me T100 too? The ME400CL has caused me so much inconvenience and pain... why do I even want it replaced? Do you think they will refund me my money if i request for refund?

Should I also go to the consumer tribunal?

How do you find T100 btw? It doesnt have any slots for SIM cards right?

Thank you for your time.

While waiting, go to the consumer tribunal first. If they don't reply / follow up with you, try to call their HQ and complain there.

KEY THING: Remember to mention you've already made a report to tribunal, give them the report no. if you have it and they will attend to you IMMEDIATELY!

From what I managed to google last time, here's their no: 03-2141 6650 (a pain in my ass when I try to look up last time)

Keep your finger crossed and pray hard they let u know how's the outcome. Although I HIGHLY DOUBT they will let you know, so when the time comes, or few days before that, email to your CS and check with them first. notworthy.gif
