Hey, my sa told me the same too. After that they explain even the car is here and allotted. But it depends cos ap clearance took some time at port.  Further,  UMW need to recheck the car for pre delivery inspection due to shipment. A friend of mine got his polo gti, brand new, but pdi suck. He got a car with the whole exhaust pipe rusted. So that checking is very important. Hope that all buyer will check their car even the bottom of the car.

My opinion is exactly the opposite.  The car is awesome for jam traffic.  You get total quietness & zero vibration in the cabin when the car is stop as the engine is also not running. Of course that is not going to help you in the fuel consumption dept but it is still more fuel economy than any other car out there.  So whether you are in big city jam or cruising in your neighborhood, hybrid is still the most fuel economy car and on top of that you get total quietness & zero vibration in the cabin which no other car can compare(except those super luxury b&w or lexus).

Agreed! Those are the reason I booked Prius C.

sent my car for servicing today for the first 1k. RM109, cheaper than that of my wife's Viva, which was RM119....

What grade of oil did they used? Prius and Prius C is supposed to used 0-20W but many people in Singapore complained that the SC used 0-30 instead because 0-20W is not common. With a higher viscosity oil, some claimed that they get poorer FC.

here;s my short trip to Bentong (Pahang) yesterday.

after the genting toll (RM5), you will need climb a bit of slope. The car runs very smooth without any revving sound if you can maintained the speed but as the slope getting stepper, the engine sound roar more loudly and that time you can see your FC from eg. 22.2km/l goes down 22km/l...to 19.9.. 19.8.. 19.6... till 19.00 (mine experience)...do not use fast lane or try to be hero and cut car infront cuz as you want to rev your car to cut the car infront, you will find it very hard and almost unreachable.

as finished the slope and start going downhill after pass thru the tunnel, shift the car to B and it will drag the gear 60++ and goes all the way down, that is the first time i saw my hybrid battery was FULLY CHARGE (full bars) and the FC will increase from 19km/l back to 23

It was fun going down slope cuz the B mode can safe your car from cruising even thou you press hard on the brake.

Uphill was certainly no a fun thing for Prius C as the feeling is that your car is stopped there and see a lot of cars pass you thru very easily...hahaha

I have been using ECO mode since day 1. I tried normal mode this morning for a distance of 20km. No significant difference in FC, 32km/l versus 33km/l, for normal and ECO mode, respectively. May be ECO mode is more for controlling air-cond operation. This morning was quite cold, so the air-cond was not running very often.

Anyone have this problem before?

I encountered 2 times. When I pump petrol almost full, the petrol gun will stop, then when I pull out, the petrol overflow out... Damn!

So far pumped once till full tank, nothing unusual happened

Smart tag friendly is Huper optik X3, TSER (Total Solar Energy Rejection) is almost same as 3M crystalline (a little bit loss to 3M)
3M has very good TSER, on par with VKool, but not really smart tag friendly.
Both Huper Optik X3 and 3M crystalline are ceramic type film, Huper Optik X3 is RM1400 for Prius C and 3M crystalline is RM1800.
*
Thks Bro. Can i know which shop install RM1.4k Huper Optik X3 n RM1.8k 3M for Prius C? is it both jpj compliance.

What's d price for VKool n is it smart tag n GPS friendly?

Hmm, has anyone read anything like this before? Isolated problem hopefully (or maybe the driver was the factor haha).

Brake pedal problem?

So far that makes two weird problems (you can read the other one here) that I've read that haven't really got any proper explanations for the causes and I hope they are isolated incidents.

I believe it maybe some scam or improper driving. Cause we all know Prius C equip with tons of safety feature, & even have the tire pressure sensor. Toyota won't compromise the brake system which are vital to a car safety.

Maybe we need to find out more to proof this problem

Does Prius C equip with Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) ? I don't see it in my car, now might want to find the 3rd party TPMS...

"Trip Summary Display" sometimes appears, sometimes does not. Do not know why.
Under the "Screen Settings", the "Basic Settings" and "MenuScreen Selection" are no longer active. Anyone knows why? They were active when I received the car

Thursday sending back to solve my rear left spring problem.

I think is the spring that causing sound (ngek ngek ngek...) come out when I turn a junction or even a bump.

another thing that I will escalate is the tank area. When i pump till the petrol gun stopped, pull it out and the petrol will flow out!

As for brake...i drive till 6k already and no cause of brake failure on that.

Regarding tpms I recall reading it in the US manual. This post states that for them it only shows low tire pressure and not individual tire pressure. I assume at the very least we have that. Hmm, I might even want to look at 3rd party tpms options. Maybe someone in here who already has the car can deflate one tire a little bit and see if the tire pressure warning light comes on. BTW has no one been playing around with their tire pressure for front and back wheels yet?
About the "ka ka ka" sound, is it possible to record that sound?

@beck_ken
Yeah let us know what they say about the fuel coming out after you pump, doesn't seem like it should be doing that. What gas are you using btw? 95?97?

You are right. The "tire pressure warning light" can be found on page 434 of US manual, but ours has no such function.

I wish we had the tpms like the one shown here on page 4.
I don't have the car yet but I noticed that even on the Malaysian brochure I don't see the low tire pressure warning icon when it shows a pic of the MID.

Sad if we don't have that - it's a pity they take out such things. I would prefer to have anything that can contribute to safety.

Also no one has answered whether trip info (or any other info) can be displayed on the 6.1" screen (I suppose no one installed the dvd-avn option?). Again in the Japanese and American versions they have the ability to display it. It's just kind of nice if you could display it on the big screen for passengers to fiddle with.
