Haha. surely can. But i think genting better dont damage the car. haha. Maybe Frasier Hill or Cameron better ^^ . But will do organize a trip once we have more member in. Possible before end of the year. Any budget anyone ?
*
My tender no. successful. My C-Wing will arrv on end May or early June. pls update my status.

No problem flying to Genting, Fraser Hill or Cameron Highlands, according to my fren (d 1st Red color Prius C in Cameron) d ride is smooth; d power overtakin cars n lorries is ok although not as powerful as d Prius 1.8
I always chauffeured my fren with his Prius 1.8 on my familiar route Simpang Pulai-Cameron or Tapah-Cameron, d accelaration is powerful like 2.4cc. Still don't know about Prius C's performance but I presume is sufficient, wait till I get my hands on it then i just make a review. So I will be d 2nd C-Wing owner in Cameron if my delivery date nvr delay.

Timeonce... make sure we get more owner on d road before we organize d 1st C-Wings outings n must be a memorable one to make a lasting 1st impression n good start for d club. I suggest Simpang Pulai to Cameron is a good testing route n won't stress our cars like genting bcos most owner mileage still below 5,000km.

getting my new prius c tmr.. after 3months booking.. white colour
is it better to get the car tint as soon as possible? is there any difference if we tint it later.. still undecided whether to pay slightly extra for the better tints (vkool, 3M, ecotint) or just take cheaper one with similar specs..
*
Yup once u get ur car u better tint it asap to protect your car cabin upholstery against damages due to ultra-voilet rays.
It is worth paying extra for better branded tints bcos of our hot weather & also to protect our skin.

I've alrdy testdrive Prius C few times on hot noon & found out the toyota optional window film Ecotint Ray Barrier's heat rejection is poor.
Lookin at our extreme hot weather, I prefer better heat rejection films than security films. Planning to get V-Kool Elite for front windsreen & V-Kool 55 for the rest window or 3M Crystalline 70 for front windscreen & 3M Crystalline 60 for the rest.

Can anyone enlighten me.. which is a better tint, JPJ compliance & which one is smart tag friendly bcos confuse with different feedback.. rclxub.gif

Smart tag friendly is Huper optik X3, TSER (Total Solar Energy Rejection) is almost same as 3M crystalline (a little bit loss to 3M)
3M has very good TSER, on par with VKool, but not really smart tag friendly.
Both Huper Optik X3 and 3M crystalline are ceramic type film, Huper Optik X3 is RM1400 for Prius C and 3M crystalline is RM1800.
*
Thks Bro. Can i know which shop install RM1.4k Huper Optik X3 n RM1.8k 3M for Prius C? is it both jpj compliance.

What's d price for VKool n is it smart tag n GPS friendly?

Start ur journey early bcos it's a School holiday + Public holiday + Weekend, sure 100% jam like mad.
U don't want to stuck in an uphill route with ur car in crawling pace. No way to test ur Prius C to full potential.
So u guys better plan ur ETD as early as possible for this Cameron trip..

After many moons of waiting, I finaly rcv my silver C-Wing yesterday. Complained to my SA about the rear left side plastic panel just below the rear left fabric seat that always pops out even after your press it in. SA told me it's common but i presume it's a manufactured defect. Does anyone face this problem..?

Congrats on receiving smile.gif hmm, about that plastic panel I will go check mine and let you know. Whenever I'm told something is "common" that instantly makes me think it's the opposite lol (I mean when it is coming from a sales type of person).

About the rear left side plastic panel just below the rear left fabric seat that always pops out even after u press it in will expose a huge gap & is confirmed a manufatured defect. My SA told me it's "common" & come back to check on 1st 1000km service. I insist it to be fix immediately & I've already settled the problem or else it is expose to dust. Sometimes I m fed up with SA which is lazy & ignore the problem. Some of the SA are like that after u sign the dotted lines. We must be firm or else we have to wait until service period. Like this issue is a critical problem bcos the big gap will expose dust & other elements like water to the high voltage hybrid battery which is dangerous.

My DVDn can't acquire the satellite, and the signal very low only one bar. They tried put another unit in, it's work fine, signal full. The SA told me that something wrong in my DVDn unit, he already check the software version, map, antenna connection... all no problem. So they decide to change a new unit for me. But not sure when will get it.

Yesterday I tried connect my iPhone to the DVDn with Bluetooth,Can make call, receive call... very good and nice to have this features...   rclxms.gif  thumbup.gif

I've checked mine after read your problem, luckily it's full bar signal even on rural route going up Cameron Highlands. Fed up with the GPS bcos many routes not included and WRONG..!, then I checked and realize mine is an older software year 2010 version. I heard some got theirs with "2012 version". It's not fair.. getting from UMW a new 2012 car and paying RM2990/= for a DVD-AVN with an old 2010 GPS software. Even the shop selling RM500/= Garmin GPS comes with the latest "2012 version and also free for life update. Ours need to pay UMW if we wanna update and yet now they give us an old version software. Everyone with the DVD-AVN older GPS version should complain, what about yours..?

Added on July 13, 2012, 10:46 pmdo you guys ever notice the speedometer? i've check my PC and compare with 2 GPS device and it show my PC is 8km/h faster than the GPS. anyone have the same prob?
*
I've tested my GPS on few cars, some cars matched the GPS's speedometer & others (included 1 Vios) is plus minus 3km/h. Then I tested it on my Prius C & my friend's Prius 1.8, result for both speedometer is the same, exactly 7km/h faster than my GPS.. Which one is accurate; the GPS or both Prii...? Maybe they purposely made the setting lower than the actual speed to get better FC..?

Dashboard rattling sound is common for the cars nowadays, last time my e90 also got dashboard rattling sound and successfully fixed by auto bavaria  icon_rolleyes.gif

Mine, the annoying dashboard rattle sound is on the upper part of the left side dashboard somewhere in between the passenger airbag and windscreen. Have to wait till 5k service just complaint. Hope the local SC will be able to fix this imported model bcos my fren's Prius 1.8 facing more problem (extra new sound) after they open up the whole dashboard; managed to rectify the first problem but cause additional new sound in different area. Make sure the SC inform you how they rectify the problem. Please update me too..

just get my wife PC last week..  pearl white color... with DVD/rear cam and navigator..

just asking can replace current garmin maps using 2011 MalSingMap to lastest maps using 2011 MalFreeMap..? is can how to do that..

thanks

Call to toyota free phone 18008869682 and complaint. It's not fair to get an older version bcos the car you purchased is 2012. Although you can install a newer version easily, no point to do it by yourself bcos you spent 2,990/= on an oem panasonic dvdavn and for original garmin software. If you complaint they will send you a letter for exchange of your existing SD card with a newer SD card with 2012 version not 2011. Make sure you ask them that after this upgrade exchange, you are still eligible for the free 1 time upgrade for latest version in future. Many people already complaint and got theirs, mine is 2nd batch still waiting for the 1st September letter.

I got mine too yesterday August 30 but the letter is dated July 30. Can't understand why it took so long for UMW to post it. Is it exchange the sd card or just upgrade the software..?

My PC got 2 problem:
1.) The clear rattling sound on the top left side of the dashboard. Now in dilemma whether to fix it or not next week bcos my friend's Prius 1.8 after rectified the 1st sound on dashboard leads to more problem with new sounds on other sides of his dashboard.

2.) My DVD-AVN turns off suddenly while the GPS and music is playing together. Then I need to turn it on again and again and it will turns off again repeatly, sometimes it will turn on itself, sigh... Now worst bcos it happen frequently. Called the UMW Service Exec and he told me maybe the setting of the DVD-AVN but i told him it's not the setting fault bcos the DVD-AVN is not turning off in timing sequence.

Does any PC member here encounter the above problems... mind sharing.. Thks

i know prius c is not performence car .. even new camry 2.5 also not performence car .. i'm on JB toward k.l highway that road if u drive at 120 also the big bus and lorry will pass u and freak u out ..
*
yup, buses & lorries r performance sports car, fast & reckless. 2 weeks ago on the USJ 3 lanes highway, evryone is driving 90km/h followin the speed limit 90, suddenly at lorry with an empty trailer with lots of sands, earth & pebble stones (i presume it just unloaded an excavator or lorry hantu) overtook us very fast & bcos of our uneven highway road it caused the stones & earth from the trailer fell into us & all the other cars. No way to avoid it bcos every cars is followin the speed limit 90, caught every cars by surprise bcos the trailer driver is driving extremely fast, appxmtly more than 130km/h.
Sigh... my PC with more than 15 severe targets on the front bumper, engine hood, left side both doors, windscreen & I still got no time to chk the roof, I think a car in front of me worst.
It's funny.. bcos I stay in Cameron Highlands (more chances of striking the same incident) & could avoid this everyday but not in our M'sian standard highway. My fren ask me to report & I believe it's no point bcos I know this kind of lorries, trailers or buses is paying undertable protections $$$ to the authorities every month. Accidents statistics cause by lorries & buses is high. Our JPJ, PLUS & Polis is sleeping & uselessss..
