QUOTE(chrymnd @ May 23 2012, 10:40 AM) I'm had just booked last two weeks. My sales advisor told me that require estimation of 3-4 months for coming since there are high demand and limited production. White colour - 082 Toyota Colour Code 082 is called MoonGlow or Lime White Pearl or Pearl White. It is different from Super White 040 or Metallic White which are mainly a single layer of paint. MoonGlow Pearl White has a base of solid white gloss paint, then added a thin layer mix of pearly flake elements that reflects tiny multicolour speckles of light - green, red, pink, yellow, etc... Different batch mix of this second layer and sprayer gun delivery ratio would create slightly different effects - like how no two pearls are created totally alike in the oyster. Then the usual top coat of clear acrylic to smoothen and protects the paint layers. The final result is a very beautiful glistening white car. Hence MoonGlow Pearl White colour is very difficult to re-match the original shimmery effect look and greenish lime colour hue property when you need to touch up or respray, especially accident repairs. Mostly would turn out to be slightly more yellowish hue or creamy white than the original very white base. Anyway all whites have always been difficult to match in repair jobs because a slight variation is more easier to be noticed compared to other colour shades. It is most obvious when it is the door or side panels. But thankfully not many people actually look closely ... Locally UMW charges extra RM800 for this colour option, while in other countries it is priced the same with other metallic colour options AFAIK. I hope more prius c users come in here and can confirm whether it works for them or not and how they got it working. Anyone with the local manual absolutely sure it's not mentioned? |

I got mine 2 days back. Tinted it with agard 595 and change sport rims today at rawang.
But I found mine doesn't have autolock. Anyone can show me how to do the trick for autolock? Cos I tried the trick in forum but still fail. Further, I notice a terrible road/tyre noise when driving. Anyway to cure this issue? Added on May 24, 2012, 2:11 amBtw, is there any accessories shop for this car? I am looking for rear diffuser, cos from behind it looks not nice at all. And also I'm looking for visor for all 4 doors. For the tyre noise I mentioned earlier, did anyone notice the same too? Can I do some sound dampering or other stuff? Anyone can recommend me the place and price also? Added on May 24, 2012, 2:14 am QUOTE(beck_ken @ May 21 2012, 11:06 AM) here;s my short trip to Bentong (Pahang) yesterday. Bro, not that bad for uphill. Today I drive from penang to kl, pass by ipoh, practically not much car able to overtake me. And further, I tested the cruise control. I set it for 120 uphill, and the things just works its way up to 120 for uphill drive. Even its roaring, but its soft.after the genting toll (RM5), you will need climb a bit of slope. The car runs very smooth without any revving sound if you can maintained the speed but as the slope getting stepper, the engine sound roar more loudly and that time you can see your FC from eg. 22.2km/l goes down 22km/l...to 19.9.. 19.8.. 19.6... till 19.00 (mine experience)...do not use fast lane or try to be hero and cut car infront cuz as you want to rev your car to cut the car infront, you will find it very hard and almost unreachable. as finished the slope and start going downhill after pass thru the tunnel, shift the car to B and it will drag the gear 60++ and goes all the way down, that is the first time i saw my hybrid battery was FULLY CHARGE (full bars) and the FC will increase from 19km/l back to 23 It was fun going down slope cuz the B mode can safe your car from cruising even thou you press hard on the brake. Uphill was certainly no a fun thing for Prius C as the feeling is that your car is stopped there and see a lot of cars pass you thru very easily...hahaha This post has been edited by nick.tan1: May 24 2012, 02:14 AM Attached thumbnail(s) |

I read somewhere that they mentioned tire pressure and type (width or whatever it was) could contribute to that. Some people added dampening materials to the floor/door or went as far as changing to a diff tire or pressure. Did you change tire too? What's your tire pressure? But I found mine doesn't have autolock. Anyone can show me how to do the trick for autolock? Cos I tried the trick in forum but still fail. QUOTE(nick.tan1 @ May 24 2012, 02:06 AM) Initially I noticed wind noise at > 90 kmh . Then again, the engine is much more silent than my old car.For road noise at low speed <30, I also hear the tyre noise becos it EV running only. I am not sure if its really an issue. Unless u tukar the noisy tayar but the default bridgestones sound alright to me |
