You don't use stock cooler.
With decent cooler, IB can clock to 4.3GHz with reasonable temp.

so the suggestion about this 3218 batch is true. They generally have low VID thus consume low voltage & good IMC up to 2800 dram easy.
I will try the Malay chip tonight hopefully it's not a dud touchwood

Just now I try to OC my processor to 4.4GHz....
But for 1 hour only, then I revert back to the factory settings...
Afraid to see so much heat produced by my processor..., possibly it can turn into chocolate chip cookies if I continue to OC this processor

Anyway, can I OC the integrated HD4000? WEI score seems too low for the IGP....

Your CPU speed is throttled down once you hit 105C so it's not really the frequency you set in BIOS.
Try lower clock and lower vcore to get below 105C.

I'm not sure whether your mobo allows IGP OC you might wanna go through this:

He has AiSuite installed, that should tell you if it would OC iGPU.

Finally I've decided to remove the IHS & replace the TIM with MX-4.

Before:

3770K L220B296 @ 5.0 GHz 1.44v
WC: EK HF + 2x RX360 + 12x GT + D5 + EK Top + EK X2 Ad 250 Res + EK FC7970
Ambient: 30C

After:

Ambient temp: 34C


So that's around 8-14C improvement.
That was on I will test it under Quad TEC later, followed by sandwiched Quad + single TEC.

After replacing the TIM now I could run LinX 5.0GHz HT @ 1.416v load.
Look at the GFlops.



Stopped halfway & will rerun 20+ iterations tonight when the ambient goes down.

update:

Finished 20 iterations... so 1.41v BIOS set is the lowest vcore for 5.0GHz HT

I've checked in the BIOS settings and seems that the option to click on the vcore settings are greyed out (unable to click)

yeah I've just checked the manual this mobo doesn't allow vcore adjustment so it will decide the voltage for you automatically at limiting value.
I believe all you could do is to play with the ratio aka multiplier only.
well, this B75 chipset is not meant for OC that's why you can't expect much from it and so for 3450.

Pause and rest your CPU/VGA during benching with OCKEY ->
CTL + F1 = pause
CTL + F1 = unpause
If reboot during a pause phase, shutdown and use OCKey to unpause and turn on again to make sure it boots properly without being paused.
