The name DOMINATOR doesn't guarantee overclockability.
The ram chipset does.

kelvin_hata must have owned a golden chipset.

Ya i know, but he said his rams are "naked". So i made some comparison here.

Well done bro. Basically you could OC any RAM with IB due to strong IMC integrated on die.

I still cant break 6m30s barrier at 5.0GHz.
Wazza checked
TinyXP 32/64bit checked

Oh? Last time used AMD, 1600 to 1700 quite difficult already.
So by the way, if i want to make my Vengeance 1600c9 1.5v to 2000c9, what is the require voltage do you guys think?

If it's a good kit you should be able to push it to 2000 9-10-9-24-1T @ 1.65v

Google for Vengeance 1600 to 2000 to find out more details

ram oc on amd mite not be as good as intel but to do 2200MHz & below (on FX or thuban) is not that difficult provided u have good sticks. vengeance red 1600 cl9 was mediocre at its best (tested with FX). 1333 @ 7-7-7, 1600 @ 9-9-9, u gotta go looser than that if u wanna hit pass 1600MHz. I believe it'd be d same on IB. sweat.gif

p/s: to be fair, vengeance red 1600 cl9 is cheap thou, so can't really complain much. tongue.gif

I wonder why when i oc my ram and set the voltage to 1.65v, every time i shut down, my system turn on again. when i use 1.5v or1.8v, no problem. Oh yeah my ram could only hit cl7 @ 1333mhz. but i will test it on my amd system, see how low it can go. my asus c4f just back from rma & asus swap it new. rclxm9.gif

It is normal. I need 1.4v to run 4.6GHz. Completely stable.

Generally, there are three reasons why they can run 4.6GHz at lower voltage,
1) They have lower room temperature
2) They use better cooler (i.e. water cooling)
3) They have a good chip

I think 4.7Ghz is other member, not me. Just had a BSOD x101 just now. Had to increase my Vcore to 1.45v.
