QUOTE(ALeUNe @ May 21 2012, 07:12 PM) The name DOMINATOR doesn't guarantee overclockability. The ram chipset does. kelvin_hata must have owned a golden chipset. Ya i know, but he said his rams are "naked". So i made some comparison here.

QUOTE(kelvin_hata @ May 22 2012, 08:42 AM) Cap Ayam Brand 1066 @ 1800 9-9-9-24 1T Well done bro. Basically you could OC any RAM with IB due to strong IMC integrated on die. I still cant break 6m30s barrier at 5.0GHz. Wazza checked TinyXP 32/64bit checked Large Sys Cache checked Priority & Core affinity checked Silver theme checked Maxmem pending Tighter TRFC pending Lower LB pending

Last time used AMD, 1600 to 1700 quite difficult already. So by the way, if i want to make my Vengeance 1600c9 1.5v to 2000c9, what is the require voltage do you guys think?

If it's a good kit you should be able to push it to 2000 9-10-9-24-1T @ 1.65v Google for Vengeance 1600 to 2000 to find out more details

I believe it'd be d same on IB. p/s: to be fair, vengeance red 1600 cl9 is cheap thou, so can't really complain much. This post has been edited by ah_khoo: May 22 2012, 06:17 PM

I wonder why when i oc my ram and set the voltage to 1.65v, every time i shut down, my system turn on again. when i use 1.5v or1.8v, no problem. Oh yeah my ram could only hit cl7 @ 1333mhz. but i will test it on my amd system, see how low it can go. my asus c4f just back from rma & asus swap it new.

Actually keep on crashing since 1.390, now 1.405 seems ok, will update u. Added on May 23, 2012, 11:57 pm owikh84 , internal PLL voltage disable or enable? Spread spectrum: Disabled Intel speedstep: enable or disable? For 4.6Ghz I googled, usually people can get 1.3- 1.35 24hours stable for 3570k, wonder mine why need 1.405 . Completely stable. Generally, there are three reasons why they can run 4.6GHz at lower voltage, 1) They have lower room temperature 2) They use better cooler (i.e. water cooling) 3) They have a good chip
