It does boot but only runs at 3.8GHz max.. look like temperature is slowing it down 67C.

True .. kinda limit on the OC for the VCore to play around .. But i try to max out i can get over 4.7Ghz ...

try to push the Vcore into max ... and the base clock sets to 100mhz X 45 ...  but the best step by step lar ..
my SuperPi 1M best time was 7.800secs

curious to know coz mine tested under ambient 25c ..

I could only hit 4.3GHz @ default voltage with my i5-3570K / Gigabyte Z77M-D3H.
Idle temperature @ 40-40c. Load temperature @ 70-75c.
Closing casing @ Lian Li PC-V350. The cooler is Corsair H50.

Can't push higher because this stupid mobo does not have vcore control.   
(I think the new bios update can rectify this).

Im thinking to get 3570k. What is idle and load temp with stock cooler?
This is alot better than 2500k rite? Im using amd 555be before.

Yes, very good board. Im not planning to OC much, but
stock setting my temperature is 68c with H100's fan @ 50% spin
OC to 4.2(First attempt straight away success) no need to tweak voltage(around 1.168v) and my temperature just 73c with h100's fan @ 50% spin only, 

My room is so hot because sun direct from my window, imagine aircond room, i think my temperature 60c only  (Too bad air cond spoiled)

I wrote to Gigabyte to ask about the availability of vcore setting on Z77M-D3H.

Ok, done testing at 4.8GHz.

My Corsair H50 can't take it anymore.
If I were to run OCCT, I bet it can go up to 105c.

Besides, I don't feel comfortable with such high voltage.
I think it is the max it can go.

Added on May 19, 2012, 4:10 amJust to give you an idea how far i5-3570K can go.
4.8GHz generates alot of heat. You need pretty high voltage too. High end cooling is a must (i.e. customized water cooling)
4.7GHz is attainable for 24/7. You don't need watercooling. You just need a better HSF with good air ventilation in the casing.
4.6GHz @ 1.3v. Load temperature is about 80c. Both temperature and voltage fall into safe range for 24/7.
The sweetest spot is 4.5GHz @ 1.25v. Easy freebies at finger tip and very doable. Temperature under load will not exceed 75c.
4.3-4.4GHz, most pariah motherboards with NO vcore setting can hit that range. Load temperature does not exceed 70c.
