I wonder if 3570K will run @ 4.5Ghz with decent temp on a CM Hyper 212 Evo.

QUOTE(owikh84 @ May 3 2012, 11:36 AM) Will be waiting for it. QUOTE(lichyetan @ May 3 2012, 11:55 AM) Penang retail shop all pricey.... Idealtech selling 3570k @ RM710. May I know if the IB good to OC at P67 platform ? or should I just remain with 2500k ... I think ram settings will be limited. Its will do the same like any other z77 mobo i think. kelvin_hata use Asus P8P67 manage to oc 3770k to an extremely 5Ghz, under water of course. But yet again depend on the chip you got. I would say stick with your current sandy bridge bro. I don't think its a big jump from sandy to ivy. And you need a good cooling in order to achieve like 4.5Ghz++. I really hope intel will release a new batch soon, with better improvement on the temperature. |

QUOTE(tyj82 @ May 6 2012, 08:30 PM) Stock Fan only @ full load prime95 for 2 hours. Using stock fan hitting 4.2Ghz is good actually. I am very new to this please bear with me. Current setting Ratio: 41 freq: 103 vcore: 1.2 I tried this but din work. ratio: 45 freq: 100 vcode 1.33 It does boot but only runs at 3.8GHz max.. look like temperature is slowing it down 67C. For 4.5Ghz, try increasing the vcore. 4.5Ghz is doable on air. But you need a better cooling solution for that. My processor will arrive maybe tomorrow or wednesday. i will let u know how good it can go with cm hyper 212 evo. |

QUOTE(90Boyz @ May 13 2012, 11:16 AM) try to push the Vcore into max ... and the base clock sets to 100mhz X 45 ... but the best step by step lar .. yup ive tried max out the vcore. and i can get 4.5ghz to boot, but fail when stress test. increasing to 4.6ghz would result no boot at all.my SuperPi 1M best time was 7.800secs |

QUOTE(ALeUNe @ May 14 2012, 03:39 PM) I could only hit 4.3GHz @ default voltage with my i5-3570K / Gigabyte Z77M-D3H. same prob with my msi z77a-g43. very2 little vcore options. Idle temperature @ 40-40c. Load temperature @ 70-75c. Closing casing @ Lian Li PC-V350. The cooler is Corsair H50. Can't push higher because this stupid mobo does not have vcore control. (I think the new bios update can rectify this). |

QUOTE(Isolation @ May 14 2012, 06:13 PM) Im thinking to get 3570k. What is idle and load temp with stock cooler? Yup its a better choice This is alot better than 2500k rite? Im using amd 555be before. Added on May 14, 2012, 6:40 pm QUOTE(owikh84 @ May 14 2012, 05:52 PM) Try update bios bro: F6 i give it a try tonight. QUOTE(Isolation @ May 14 2012, 08:09 PM) @ketapang I would like to but my mobo limits my oc for now. imho hyper212+/evo can handle oc around 4.3~4.4Ghz. More than that you need a better cooler. For temperature, just keep your load temperature below 90c & it should be okay. Thx.. will get it this week. Try oc to 4.5ghz with that cooler, i wanna see @@ Will this oced proc got problem if stay 80-90c+ 24/7? |

QUOTE(JeffreyYap @ May 15 2012, 07:52 PM) Yes, very good board. Im not planning to OC much, but wah i nid to get rid my mobo asap. stock setting my temperature is 68c with H100's fan @ 50% spin OC to 4.2(First attempt straight away success) no need to tweak voltage(around 1.168v) and my temperature just 73c with h100's fan @ 50% spin only, My room is so hot because sun direct from my window, imagine aircond room, i think my temperature 60c only btw i read from vortez review saying the mobo is thinner than usual atx mobo. i think if im not mistaken 3cm thinner. i scared the mobo bent if i use big cooler. |

QUOTE(ALeUNe @ May 19 2012, 03:24 AM) Ok, done testing at 4.8GHz. Finally get rid your gigabyte mobo eh? My Corsair H50 can't take it anymore. If I were to run OCCT, I bet it can go up to 105c. Besides, I don't feel comfortable with such high voltage. I think it is the max it can go. Added on May 19, 2012, 4:10 amJust to give you an idea how far i5-3570K can go. 4.8GHz generates alot of heat. You need pretty high voltage too. High end cooling is a must (i.e. customized water cooling) 4.7GHz is attainable for 24/7. You don't need watercooling. You just need a better HSF with good air ventilation in the casing. 4.6GHz @ 1.3v. Load temperature is about 80c. Both temperature and voltage fall into safe range for 24/7. The sweetest spot is 4.5GHz @ 1.25v. Easy freebies at finger tip and very doable. Temperature under load will not exceed 75c. 4.3-4.4GHz, most pariah motherboards with NO vcore setting can hit that range. Load temperature does not exceed 70c. U poison me to get that board. but Im not a fan of matx board. btw how much the market price for h50? im interested seeing you achieve high clock on this cooler. how would h50 compare to noctua nh-d14? |
