QUOTE(owikh84 @ May 20 2012, 09:36 PM) IB is very hot internally only subzero cooling is able to handle the heat. I swear i will not run any stress test higher than 4.6GHz on my current cooling. Duno if golden batch is able to LinX stable at 4.6-5.0GHz or not. IB OCing is so boring without playing with RAM OC. For me binning for the best IMC is more fun than hunting for the highest CPU clock exactly bro... this makes me have d thought of offloadin d board + 3770k. get a decent low/midrange board, 3570k and decent sticks just to play w/ ram oc... tbh, i'm not really into high cpu clocks... TBH I feel bad with CPU OCing since SB-E. this platform also needs more cold to go higher. Best my 3930K could do at 5.1GHz under water. Same thing for 3770K as it can go higher with better cooling.

QUOTE(ah_khoo @ May 20 2012, 10:11 PM) Yalor wrong timing to hop bro... Me like other ppl also demanding for a fix from Intel. This heat issue has ruined the awesomeness of 77w TDP & 22nm of IB.

Getting Started

|
QUOTE(JeffreyYap @ May 20 2012, 07:30 PM) Guys, when i'm playing game, it freeze and speaker has buzzing sound after 10-15minutes, 3570k clocked to 4.5. But when i set back to 4.2, the problem gone, so i try and increase the voltage at 4.5? Currently running 1.255 for 4.5, some people here need 1.38. But i tried to run prime95 2 hours+ no problem, but after that, when i'm playing Diablo 3, it hangs and BLIZZZZZZZZZZZ sound comes from speaker and dafuq, the long dungeon i explored and need to explore again. just prime is not enough to determine stability.. prime only stress cpu.. when playing games, it add stress to cpu with stress from graphic.. thats why u get that.. i use PCMark Added on May 21, 2012, 1:34 ammay i know why is your cinebench mark is low? i expect near 9 actually This post has been edited by jeff88rey: May 21 2012, 01:35 AM

HyperPi is the multi threaded app in which my bad chip will not be able to survive due to sky high temp even @ 1.55C

I'm using custom wc without TEC, coz the acrylic top leaked & waiting for replacement before this single TEC is up for resale later. Then i will be using the Quad TEC + dual controller.
