QUOTE(cybermaster98 @ Jul 19 2012, 10:52 AM) Yes this i agree too. I brought this issue up a number of times on LYN and also on Facebook. Many of their sales personnel do not have the technical knowledge about the car. Others have this 'tidakapa' attitude especially in dealing with walk in customers. Ive had 2 bad experiences with sales personnel from Red Cube PJ and also Kia Jalan Lahat, Ipoh. Sadly both were of a certain race (i dont need to mention which race). Both were damn lazy, didnt keep to appointments and didnt even bother to return calls when i was enquiring bout my trade in car evaluations. And all this was despite the fact that they both knew that i was a serious buyer and i had already made up my mind to buy. Finally, i dumped both of them and booked with another outlet in Ipoh. SA's like this should be sacked immediately as they give Kia a bad name and its a major turn off. Added on July 19, 2012, 9:57 amYes i agree. We should publish their names and branch on the first page as well in addition to informing Naza Kia HQ. Let me share an experience recently. I posted a complaint on Facebook regarding some lazy staff at Kia Ipoh. Immediately the next day, Kia HQ scanned a copy of the Facebook post and emailed a warning to the SC. The Service Manager immediately called for a meeting screwing the staff in general. I know this because 1 of the service guys called me up and informed me the following day. Now when i go there, i dont see ppl sitting around joking and laughing. In short, i think Naza Kia is serious about improving their after sales service. So lets support them in recreating the Kia brand in Malaysia. Give credit where its due but do not be afraid to critisize if required but do it through the proper channels. The same goes for technical problems with your Optima. Make sure Naza HQ comes to know. there you are man...i like i like i like..this is how we can hand in hand creates smart buyers..so i hope all the other members do publish whichever sales agent or service centre ruin ur life owning or getting KIA..so that NAZA KIA knows whats going on in the market..in other way if NAZA KIA does great job defenately after this we could see the trade in value raises up just because people may have good faith on KIA...

QUOTE(hitokirizero @ Jul 19 2012, 10:28 AM) Agree with K5White statement, they told me that if in KL most of the time they need to dispatch by themselves. They will only use truck if outside of KL/Selangor (this is what I was told) I have another question to ask to those that already did the 1st service - did the tech reset the 10k indicator? the one that showed how many kilo left before we need to go service our car? mine was not reset. I tried to reset my self but can't. Maybe need special tool to reset it. Done my first service last week, and i set the 10k indicator myself.. No special tool for that.. Have you refer to the manual book for this ?

Just look for John and tell him that your car has a similar problem. He will know what to do. Added on July 20, 2012, 8:23 amQUOTE(Krafted @ Jul 19 2012, 09:39 PM) Auto wiper is not so intelligent, as sometimes it just waits for too long before next wipe. It should provide an option to choose for manual interval. Yes the auto wipers arent as good as other cars. Its either too sensative or sometimes not sensative. Not sure if its a problem but i think we should collectively inform our SC's and Naza Kia HQ. This post has been edited by cybermaster98: Jul 20 2012, 08:23 AM

QUOTE(sidhu13 @ Jul 20 2012, 01:07 AM) Owh, mine also does that la... So I should get it fixed as well. I hope the Jalan lahat SC knows how to rectify that problem.. My understanding of auto air-cond is like this: For example the temperature set is 24degree (in auto), then outside temperature is around 24degree also. In this case, the car will very likely switch the mode so that the outside air will flow in the car because the car is trying to maintain the temperature within 24degree. Is my understanding correct? Otherwise you guys can try to increase the temperature set (in auto), until certain degree (i supposed same as outside temperature), it will automatically switch to let the outside air flow in.

I don't know if this is applicable for the K5 but the air recirculation is suppose to shut itself off on start up. For all Euro cars, including Mercedes Benz etc, it will shut off after awhile to let fresh air in if the air recirculation has been switched on. Upon engine startup, the air recirculation system is OFF by default as well even if it was switched on when you engine off the car. http://www.euro-gasman.com/PDFs/C2%20Examp...s%20Testing.pdfThey have some safety law in Euro that states the amount of CO2 present in an enclosed space cannot exceed a certain amount for a certain period of time. Seeing that the newer KIAs are all designed and have European designers, they may have adopted the same system. It LOOKS like the K5 air conditioning system also has a CO2 sensor like a lot of the European cars to comply to this safety law.

Ive had this problem before with my Toyota Vios and its not easy to get rid. I believe its due to mold on the fins or evaporator.

Naza Melaka branch didn't offer me anything, so I went to Seremban and got RM 3k discount, 40% discount for tinting and car delivered within 4 days. Which part of Melaka are you from?

Guys, Wanted to ask about the 'Auto' mode for Light. I switched to 'Auto' mode for the light and I thought it will automatically switch off when I turn off the car? But when I close the door and lock it, it doesn't turn off by itself. Is that a fault or that it will turn off automatically after 1-2mins? Sorry my bad, found this on the manual book stating that the light will turn off after 30 seconds if the door are opened and closed. Will try again later The smart cornering lamp is very nice and useful. Love this K5 to bits!! This post has been edited by kenrain: Jul 20 2012, 02:40 PM

Another good thing about them is they also have a used car shop next to the showroom, which is under the same company. So if you're trading in your old car, they can offer very good trade-in value. I shopped around & they offered me the highest trade in value for my 2011 Exora. So together with the discount, I believed I got a very good deal from them.
