Just want to share the story about my previous problem regarding no sound coming out from the speakers. I had the problem last Sunday, sent my car for 1st service on Monday and made a complaint about the problem at the service centre. I was told the amplifier was the culprit & they needed to order the amp from Korea since Naza didn't stock that particular part. I was also told that it could take up to 3 months for the part to arrive.

So yesterday, I wrote an email to Naza Kia Client Management Division, asking them if there was any way that they can expedite the delivery of the amplifier. About an hour later, I received a call from a nice lady, telling me that they have received my email and will sort out this problem as soon as possible. Not long after that, I received another call, this time from the service centre, telling me that they have received authorization from HQ to replace the broken amplifier with amplifier from the showroom car. Then when the new amplifier arrive, they will put back into the showroom car.

This morning, I sent my car to the service centre and just now, I've collected my car, with the problem solved biggrin.gif

I would like to applaud Naza Kia Malaysia for very fast response rclxms.gif This is the kind of customer service that will definitely put a smile on customer faces. I hope they will maintain this level of customer service, so more and more people will consider Kia when buying a new car.  Good job Naza Kia Malaysia  thumbup.gif

Nice car especially the design, however the Government said that will announce the Automobile 2012 taxing reduction, but until now they delayed it :", so bad and still waiting for it..... Anybody have the same opinion ??
*
If you're expecting the govt to reduce tax on imported cars, then good luck brader. That will never happen as it is, Dr. M is already whacking the govt for not protecting Proton enough so if they reduce tax ..... hmm.gif

In my previous ride, whenever I encounter the wipers juddering, I will apply a layer of rain X which will always solve the problem. Depends on how you look at it, some people may be reluctant to apply it..I apply it usually when a layer of waters forms on the windscreen after rain... Have not applied on my K5 yet though..
*
Rain X and these type of solutions can cause higher wear and tear on your wipers. I did the mistake of applying on my car and had to change the wipers more quickly as the rubber gets eaten up quickly. That's my observation so be careful.

For my case it is almost similar, when i got my car it was 90km++, SA already told me up front he need to drive my car from port klang to the branch (mine is in Setapak) and I accepted it. You can google up the distance from where to where just to get the approximate distance, maybe that will help.
*
Your is 90km, me lagi power 150km when i collected my car, may be from port klang to puspakom somewhere, then found there no place to park then drove to kl, who knows kl puspakom machine rosak so drive back to klang, so end up 150km lo, i think only huh

No offense but I'm more inclined to believe that KIA stepped in themselves to handle the problem rather than NAZA, which is still good because they pay attention to customer needs.

Peugeot is handled by Nasim which is also part of Naza but look at the number complaints they have, very unbecoming for a European marque.

So good job KIA.

Nasim and Naza Kia different set of ppl, although same parent company. Maybe one have more will to perform, another not.

And also, they must have checked with Kia if they can deliver the amp in short time, if not the showroom unit will be sitting duck for 3mths oso no good.

Bro, ive had a Kia in my house since 2006 and its still being serviced at Kia. It was due to this that i dared to leave Toyota and get a Kia myself.

If u read my previous posts, ull see that i too have experienced really good service at Kia. My rear shock absorber seemed a bit bouncy to me. So i informed Kia and they just changed both sets of shock absorbers FOC under warranty although nothing was wrong with it. I also complained about squeaky wipers and that too was changed FOC although wipers are not covered under warranty. Although my wipers are still squeaky, they have now ordered the entire wiper arm assembly to change for me. But i think the problem lies in the windscreen itself which is probably due to some cleaning agent. My front driver's side power window was a bit 'rough' going up and they changed the motor FOC although i now realise that the 'roughness' is not really rough but normal.

On my last visit, i complained about a bad smell coming from the aircon for the first 5 secs after a cold start. They immediately serviced the aircon, replaced the gas and oiled the compressor. All FOC although this aint covered under warranty. They also did a free allignment and balancing on 2 occasions. Once when i complained about a jumpy steering issue and the second time was this week when i went into a pothole. Again, both not supposedly covered under warranty but still done FOC.

In all my 9 years with Toyota servicing at numerous SC in Johor, Melaka, Selangor, Perak and Penang, ive never experienced this level of service. Yes Kia has some way to go before they can match Toyota but im very sure they are on the right track now and its being proven day by day. Check out the Kia Forte thread if you still doubt.

I just wanted to know whether this is a norm for most people here as well. Now at least I know there's someone that's also having similar case so that is not too bad.

However, I just got a call from SA saying cannot get the car yet as the registration process failed. The plate number and the car is registered under diff name. Really frustrated with this SA as he should have told this earlier to me so that I buy the plate number with the correct name. How does the SA expect me to know this??!! vmad.gif Never ever go to recommend this SA to anyone.
*
Bro, what is the last 4 digit of ur SA phone number? I'm so afraid that you agent is same as mine as I have just done my booking and I require him to register my plate number as well.

Maybe you had bad experiences with Naza Kia before, care to share? I admit that previously my perception about KIA & Korean cars was not good. I took a leap of faith when deciding to own K5 just because of its good look but now I truly believe that KIA and Naza Kia have improved tremendously & they are challenging the japanese now in terms of quality of their cars and their customer services.

I disagree with you. Please give credit where credit is due. The authorization came from Naza Kia HQ in KL, they contacted me not long after I emailed them to let me know that they have decided to replace the part from the showroom car. The service centre still needs to file a claim to KIA for the new amp.

They even called me just after I collect my car to check if everything is ok and ask me to contact them directly if there are any problems. thumbup.gif

Guys,

I am supposed to get my car today at 4pm. The wait is like forever. Can't wait to have my baby!!

However one thing that disappoint me is on the ODO. It was initially 100KM. I asked the SA about this and he said drive the car from port klang to the branch, hence the 100KM at the ODO. rclxub.gif  Later it went up to 140+ KM from 100KM after Puspakom inspection. The distance from the branch to Puspakom is roughly 14 KM. A return trip will be roughly 30KM which means the usage in Puspakom is around 10KM. The SA again says that the testing in puspakom involve revving the spin of tyres etc. that's why the 10KM. Don't know what crap is this. mad.gif

1.  Is that possible that the testing in Puspakom takes to 10KM?

2.  I am suspecting that the SA let other customer test drive my car. Anything that I can do for this?

Its a decision ull have to make yourself. Ull get owners here telling u all 3 colors are good so pointless to ask.

But in my opinion, the Bright Silver is the easiest to maintain. Not washing for 3 weeks is fine and isnt noticeable. Plus if ure in an accident, its the easiest color to match. Also, the silver has this brilliant shade of color when parked under a night street light. Looks very classy and surely is a standout even during the day with the DRL's on.

The Pearl White is also good but somehow i feel it doesnt show off the car enough. The Optima Pearl is slightly different from the Toyota version which i prefer.

But i think the Optima doesnt look good in dark colors because the car has got a really good design and good designs go well with lighter colors. Also makes the sports rims stand out.

Agree with u. My opinion, silver is too common, so I go for white. Like u say, pearl white bring out the good design of K5.
