Congrats bro thumbup.gif

No, K5 doesn't comes with the alarm features u mention. To me, I think is not necessary. Thief dont bash window, they have better ways to crack the glass without triggering alarm. Even they do triggered the alarm, they will get whatever valuable things in the car and gone in split second. You or witness don't even have time to react brows.gif Antitheft? I don't think K5 is in the syndicate order list. hmm.gif also, if install wrongly or short circuit, will void warranty.

I would rather spend the money on security tint film. That way, is "not easy" to break the glass.

But that's me lah. To do or not to do is up you. wink.gif

Welcome to the Club.

I just wanted to ask you guys about the 'jumpy steering' that some of us  here are facing....during stationary, when you turn the steering in any direction; sometime during the revolution, there will be a  fraction of a second point where my steering 'jumps' a bit but very faintly..you would definitely be able to feel it. ...do any of you experienced this? wonder if I need to send to SC to take a look..

I think is normal, is because friction between the tyre and road surface espeacially when the tyre is new and just after cleanning it. It also depends on the type of road surface, not all the time u will feel it.

Ask the, to order together the touch screen DVD navigator  tongue.gif
Can't wait to have that in my car, how come so long still haven't arrived in bolehland?

I spoken a guy I met at Red Cube who says he is the official installer of this new system on the Forte and K5. He says the unit for K5 should be ready soon as they are now testing it. But he is not sure about the price.

I've actually tried that method before (on/off the car), and the weird thing were every time I turned the engine on, the speaker would function for about 5 to 10 seconds before it became completely silent again. But for these to happen, the head unit must already be turned on before turning the engine on.

The service centre already ordered a new amplifier but unfortunately, because the amp is not in stock, it needs to be ordered from Korea. I was told it might take up to 3 months  sad.gif Is this true?

What a pity, cannot enjoy the infinity speaker cry.gif

i think that is the standard delivery time for shipment by sea from korea. Of course the desk ppl at service canter will have to answer this way, but if there is any incoming delivery, im sure they will tuck in ur claim and high chances u can get before the 3 mths time. Normally, they give the worst case scenario(3mths wait).

i really hope that's the case, the 3 months waiting time is the max time, hopefully the parts will arrive earlier.

What is the best way to contact Naza Kia HQ? I intend to contact them directly, maybe that way can expedite the delivery of the parts?

Perhaps you can the try the silicone type of wipers OR get the shorter blades. ELSE probably the wiper motors are at fault. Just some thought..

No la. I had this problem with my previous car as well despite silicon wipers. Kia changed my wipers FOC but still no difference. I dont think its the motor as the sound is from the blades.

silicon wipers are known to have this issue.
Same thing happened on my friend's Civic...from the start (5 yrs ago) till he sold the car.
Replaced by Honda few times, until he's fedup, in the end, just let it be

These wipers also tend to be noisier when the glass is not all wet

In my previous ride, whenever I encounter the wipers juddering, I will apply a layer of rain X which will always solve the problem. Depends on how you look at it, some people may be reluctant to apply it..I apply it usually when a layer of waters forms on the windscreen after rain... Have not applied on my K5 yet though..

But does it solve the problem or is it a temporary fix only?

So it's the wiper blades squeaking against the windscreen?

Silicon wipers are no guarantee against squeaking. U can try Rain X, this does help to "lubricate" the glass but of course it is not permanent and you have to reapply every few weeks.

Perhaps try a different brand of normal rubber wipers?

Well, it solves it for me 'pemanently'..I usually apply Rain X 2 - 3 times a year and in between that, never noticed any juddering..My K5 is also experiencing the juddering during showers but not during heavy rain..

Another resolution which worked for me was to change wipers to those Bosch Aerotwins which have a better sweep pattern and adjusts to the curvature of the windscreen but I don think this is neccesary as the wipers on the K5 are also frameless.

Agreed, everytime i tried on silicon wipers, it would always squeak and judder without fail on my previous ride..be it duraedge or those PIAA wipers so I usually advise against using silicone wipers. I believe in those bosch aerotwin rubbers

he said this juddering is caused by Rain X additive..pening

Mmm, I did fender treatment (STP Mastic) yesterday and it does feel less noise but need to wait 3-4 days to have material fully dry up to have optimum sound proof..will update later...
BTW, I also added VS (voltage stabiliser - if you guys recalled I post the photo some time back), the gear change is smoother especially no lazzyness on ECO mode and the bass is more ummph...this 2 is most notiecable...

Yeah, but the vibration seems to feel 'mechanical'..not really like friction..but that's just me...
