It is an intra-workout, which means that it will help during the workout. Same as pre w/o. Some person will gain the energy from it but some doesn't. I want the BCAA and also the 'energy' from it.

I see. By the way, there's no carbs in xtend.

Do you happen to know what's the best source of carbs for post w/o? Glucose polymer?

I don't think there are ingredients in Xtend that will give you an energy boost. Personally, there's no difference for me. Also, there's always the possibility of it being a placebo effect

From what I've read, Waxy Maize is a good post w/o. A complex carb yet very fast digesting.

Seems like maltodextrin / dextrose would suffice for the average person.

Now probing whether they're best consumed on their own or mixed.

i totally enjoy xtend. the recovery period in the gym and for DOMS few days later is amazing.
you probably dont notice the difference because the effect is not as obvious and instantaneous as pre WO and NO. but the recovery period is just incredible.

One has stimulants like caffeine.
The other doesn't.

Look at the ingredient list and learn what each ingredient does.
And for the creatine, just look at the ingredient list again to see if there's creatine in it.

EDIT: When you say PER-workout, do you mean during workout aka intra-workout. Or do you mean PRE-workout, as in before workout?

I means in before workout. I looking for supplements that specially for pre-workout(in before workout) examples BSN and muscleteck but both of it have creatine. rclxub.gif

hey guys can suggest me good intra-workout which could be use together with pre-workout supplement or i didn't need one if i already take pre-workout supplement.

planning on trying new stuff like mp assault. senpai in the gym keep on telling me you should get bcaa/amino and glutamine. so my muscle wont get tired easily and at the same time promoting me to buy from them too.

so is it necessary for me to take both?
up until now i only take protein after workout. tried the jack3d but when rethink about it i didn't jack3d a shit must be my mind playing with me and hate the sweetness too. icon_rolleyes.gif

Yea, PRE-workout lol.
Why don't you want creatine anyway?
Go for Controlled Labs White Flood or Gaspari Superpump Max.

Intra-workout Controlled Labs Purple Wraath or Purple Psyko, iForce Compete, Scivation Xtend, BSN Amino X; just to name a few.

Both pre-workout and intra-workout are not necessary.

My necessary list would be:
Protein
Creatine
Multivitamin
Fish oil

Others would be bonus.
