I'll stick to coffee for pwo. As for me, i think our body are in fasted mode once we woke up thus i refeed it with protein first thing in the morning. What i normally do, I combined protein/creatine in one shake, half once woke up, take coffee as pwo, go to gym, then another half shake as post w/o.

Thanks. I workout mostly in the morning before work, so its mostly fasted. Right now taking coffee prior to working out.

What is the consensus on taking BCAA preworkout? Or coffee pre workout, sip BCAA during workout

Seems like you're not trying to workout fasted, just matter of circumstances.

Then just have a simple and quick pre-workout meal then, semi-liquids the best:

For example, 1 or 2 bananas, 2 half boiled eggs (cooked while you're in the shower). Doesn't take more than 5 minutes to prepare.

hi guys. 1st time here too.

wan to ask some opinions about supplement.

age28, 172cm / 63kg. BMR around 1550kcal ..muscle mass 30kg, body fat 17%..look skinny ..but with belly. so my wraist around 31"..so ugly..haha..so wana lose those fat and gain more muscle ..around 3more kg la to my ideal..

i work in office so most of the time is idle ..9-6 work.. i joined a lot of running events but seldom training also.

so currently have dumbell training and those fat burning workout that can do at home (follow those in youtube)..starting like 1 week doing everyday for 20-30 min.

so which recommendation for the supplement ? what main diff for whey protien and BCAA ? which suppose to eat or how should the scedule go ? thanks smile.gif

I guess the Labdoor's test must be pushing the popularity of MyProtein.

I've not posted anything about supplements (I think), but I gotta rave about the MyProtein Whey Iso I recently got and tried. I don't know about mad gains, or the BCAA inside, or whatever bullshit.. I can however, confirm the taste. Natural Chocolate tastes like a slightly sweeter version of powdered Milo (not the canned version or truck version). I don't know about you, but that's as good as a chocolate drink can get. The downside is that its slightly sweeter, gives a sweet aftertaste, and its powdery/chalky.

The pouch and ziplock is a pain to use, not sure if I sealed it correctly every time, so I just scooped it out to my empty ON tub.

For the price it is cheaper than ON, and its pure isolate.. that's the only reason I got it. 5kg bag, rm360, 200 servings.

I am using N.O Xplod at the moment. The first time I took it, my heart was pumping and I was sweating a lot more and workout felt easier too. Ever since that however, there has been no effect that I've noticed. I used to take it 30 mins after my morning protein shake. Yesterday I took it on empty stomach and no crazy racing heart but workout felt easier. Today I did the same thing but I felt like I had no energy at all. Does that mean that N.O Xplod doesn't work on me or is my body adapting too quickly, if that is even possible?

That's a saving of about 25% or more after adjusting for protein content per gram! notworthy.gif

(edit: just realised you wrote that myprotein's RM360 is promo price bye.gif still on my tub of ON)

However, pure isolates or not is a matter of preference, as there's not much of a difference in terms of tangible effects.

I'd also check out the amount of leucine myprotein contains, if it's higher than ON then it's a big YES.

Labdoor is backed by reputed organisations, so I don't think they'd commit fraud, so the purity of the product (in terms of safety) should be fine.

I wouldn't pay much attention to their ranking system though, as I believe it's incomplete.

There is one, pure isolates is great for people who are lactose intolerant. Yes, concentrate is low in lactose, isolates are lactose free. Again, not that big of a difference for most of us.

Your calculations is correct, thus the reason for me getting the MyProtein - Best bang for buck on a quality assured product. Be in ON or MyProtein, I doubt you can go wrong either way. But I am raving about the Natural Choc! It's Milo! Except bit sweeter aftertaste and somewhat chalky/powdery.. I noticed if you used a blender bottle it reduces the chalky/powdery taste.

The Milo part sounds good. Though feedback based on Milo is kinda difficult nowadays too. 10 years ago (arbitrary number) we just needed two Tbsp (or maybe even 1.5 Tbsp) to get a really fragrant and thick Milo drink. Nowadays the formulation (taste) has changed and I don't think two Tbsp is sufficient anymore, so I've stopped Milo for many years haha.

However if you think it tastes better than ON's extreme milk chocolate (which is decent enough but still some slight chemical aftertaste), then it should be good. When's the expiry? If it's long enough then I'll just drop by to buy a pack and store it.

Oops it seems to be sold ooout bruhh:

Its a stimulant

You will get adapt to any stimulant for the same dosage over time

Cycle it, you dont need preworkout all the time, just take it when you feel shitty to lift on that day.

I read up on N.O Xplod. I think it is the caffeine.
Some caffeine is good, likewise for creatine.
But depending on your original reason for taking it in the first place.

Caffeine doesn't do much to me so that might explain why it only worked the very first time and first time on empty stomach. Thank you! smile.gif
