If they only have 3000 units for this year do you think they will reduce the price when the booking is already more than 1000? This post has been edited by caddilac: Apr 2 2012, 02:57 PM |

QUOTE(WieBoy @ Apr 2 2012, 03:05 PM) not sure if that is gonna achieve anything.. its just wishful thinking... FB/LYN does not represent the majority of Malaysians looking at this car. anyway.. pretty please.. for those who tested, can anyone confirm if the rear view window is ECM? the specs on the first page says that it is.. |

QUOTE(kudi @ Apr 2 2012, 02:43 PM) After both driven the Forte and Elantra, and the whole weekend to balance both thoughts, I have given up on the Elantra after a holistic consideration. Remember SD will need to sell upcoming i30 and i40 - so this so-called pricing will be the "Best Fit" by our beluv GOV. It is not that I cant afford to pay 112K, but the whole package of the car just doesnt justify the amount. To simply pay more just for the design is foolish. Unless SD decided to lower down the price of the 1.8, plus throwing in goodies like full body kit, 6 air bags for safety which is more crucial. I am sure all the awards given to the car is due to all the full spec features. Not the spec that we are getting here. It is not everyday that Malaysians can buy car today and sell it tomorrow. For SD to listen to the people? Best platform may be on Facebook. Again my 2 cents. |

I too went to test drove one. Well, only the 1.6HS. And the test drive route is so short I can't tell much. No comment on the driving experience, anything better than my aging car I'm happy. The manual mode did help to push the car if you are not satisfy with the auto. I'm not a street racer, neither I have deep pocket to swallow performance (higher segment) car. Only complain is the rear headroom a bit tight. Considering I will fetch mostly my family, they are not that tall. So I think it's alright. I have my personal reason not to get the forte. So will not argue on that.
I didn't book on the spot, as the SA can't confirm many things. Also SA promise to let me test drive again once their show room get the cars, I wanted to see the real gray/ red color before deciding. Today, when I pass by Hyundai show room in Prima Damansara, they are loading 2 unit of Elantra, one silver and one white. Both have the trim line (feature guide) stickers over the body as per the event show car. Was driving so didn't take pictures. Will see next two days have time to walk-in and see. |

QUOTE(mav3rick @ Apr 2 2012, 03:24 PM) oopss.. i think bro fluidic will need to update the spec sheet to the latest one then.. Most of the spec listed are correct. So far i only spotted 3 item incorrect. Power fold mirror and ECM. another one is bonus for 1.6HS which have sliding center console. sigh... to be honest, i would have happily paid 112k for the current spec sheet stated in the 1st page.. sad to see a couple of simple features being removed.. aiyah.. dont want to think so much first.. need to test drive then only decide.. |

@WieBoy let me slide on that la. Forte doesn't appeal to me. And more gadget = more things to take care and repair later on. (If they can sell you a car that almost not making money, they will find other way to get it back. It's basic business.) But don't bash me on that lar. My reason is really personal leh. Hahaha...
----------- Say did most of you get the full brochure (the one with red elantra on cover). If many want to see, I can scan and put it up by tmrw. |
