QUOTE(kudi @ Apr 2 2012, 12:19 PM) We tested the 1.6 first. The first impression was the steering was a bit heavy to my liking. Rear view was quite limited. Feels like the back of a Gen2. As we enter into the main roads, i floored the car. To my surprise the pickup was sluggish. I still prefer the Altis responsiveness of the pedal. In fact in an Altis, if you floor the pedal too much, the car's pickup is so strong that you get push back to the seat. I dont get this feeling in the Elantra. hmm.. which altis you had this experience with?? is it the 2.0? i havent driven the 2.0 altis before, but the only car i tested so far which i get the push back feel is the Slyphy.. can't really find it in others.. maybe its just my luck.. |

QUOTE(feng yun @ Apr 2 2012, 01:58 PM) Strange but somehow i felt that 1.6 power quite ok but 1.8 quite dissapointing. Maybe this weekend will go test drive to be certain... you're talking about the altis right? i havent tested the 1.6 before.. but the 1.8.. hmm.. nothing to shout about.. havent tried the 2.0 as well.. maybe i'm a bit bias because of my experience with the sylphy.. |

QUOTE(JC999 @ Apr 2 2012, 02:10 PM) I think in US, the car has the eco button, where you can turn off the eco mode and changes the settings. i think the version here does not have an eco mode. The eco you see in the dashboard is just an indicator to tell you whether you're driving is 'eco-friendly' or not! just like what you see in the honda insight. The same applies to the Sonata YF as well. I could be wrong. Perhaps bro fluidic can confirm?Seems like our version, eco mode is always on, and off it when you accelerates. I think the engine settings is different |

QUOTE(gregy @ Mar 30 2012, 05:44 PM) Oh, definitely will try and get a test drive soon. But to be honest, the interior of both cars seems a little letdown compared to the pics I've seen on the net. Trim levels do play a big role... Or maybe it's the professional photographers' lighting lol... hi gregy, with your experience on the Civic 1.8 and Forte 2.0 i think your inputs will definitely be of good use. please test drive the car and let us know your thoughts |

QUOTE(WieBoy @ Apr 2 2012, 03:05 PM) not sure if that is gonna achieve anything.. its just wishful thinking... FB/LYN does not represent the majority of Malaysians looking at this car. anyway.. pretty please.. for those who tested, can anyone confirm if the rear view window is ECM? the specs on the first page says that it is.. |

oopss.. i think bro fluidic will need to update the spec sheet to the latest one then..
sigh... to be honest, i would have happily paid 112k for the current spec sheet stated in the 1st page.. sad to see a couple of simple features being removed.. aiyah.. dont want to think so much first.. need to test drive then only decide.. |

QUOTE(666devil @ Apr 2 2012, 03:35 PM) Nope. They took tat feature out along with the extendable sun visor. Instead they add in rain sensor wiper which I think useless to me QUOTE(ryanliew87 @ Apr 2 2012, 03:36 PM) yeahh.. kinda agree with you guys there.. i would happily trade the rain sensor and sunroof for more airbags and ECM |

QUOTE(caddilac @ Apr 2 2012, 05:00 PM) You still don't understand the difference between Naza and SimeDarby until today? seriously, its pretty amazing how Naza managed to pull down the prices. i mean look at the k5. its same price as the sonata 2.0 High Spec and yet the K5 specs makes it look GODLIKE!!! no doubt the sonata is CBU la..Elantra is not the first model facing such problem. Look at K5, Sportage and Sorento compared to their cousins. Added on April 2, 2012, 5:01 pm Competitive pricing and warranty... Elantra pricing not competitive? |

QUOTE(666devil @ Apr 3 2012, 01:20 PM) I thought that we all confirmed dy. the only surprise is the color of seat for 1.6 variant... i'll take the ecm over the rain and light sensor anyday.. but that's just me.. And also confirmed from showrooms, they removed extendable sun visor and chromatic mirror, but give auto rain and light sensor for wiper and light. Added on April 3, 2012, 1:23 pmBro fluidic also demo'ed to me, how the auto light turn on/off based on daylight condition, and also will auto off a few minutes after u get out the car. btw.. are you jowie loo in FB or is that bufung?? |
