I tried to use my AmEx to swipe in ALL IT Hypermarket at Low Yat Plaza yesterday. The error came out something like "the transaction is not honoured" (can't recall the exact statement). The cashier tried twice and I had to change to VISA. She even asked me to check with bank. I told her I was still using it 20 minutes before that. Anyway, didn't want to argue as the queue was long that time...

Then came back and called Maybank CS to redeem my TP to offset against GST. At the same time, asked him to confirm the transactions in ALL IT didn't go through. He confirmed nothing went through. So I asked him what's the reason the transaction wasn't honoured. He said most likely the cashier tried to swipe my card instead of slotting into the terminal, then I recalled, indeed she tried to swipe my card. He said she might mistaken mine with AmEx Charge Card.

Nothing. I thought you maxed out RM 50 rebate in 1 day by swiping RM 1k.

I already maxed out mine when I bought iPad 2 on 1st of April 2012.
Today walked in Swatch KLCC, held back my purchase due to the weekend rebate.
Will buy next month.

Well, mine also maxed out yesterday.

To be honest I didn't see the AmEx sticker, only saw VISA and MasterCard but I did ask the sales person, she said it is accepted.
Since I have no intention to buy today, so didn't want to give her any hope. So I told her I'll just look around and find my target, I'll be back later.

Yes, not urgent at all. It is just a watch. I still have my current watch.
5% rebate makes a lot of difference to me.

Not sure if mentioned but no harm, GSC gives complimentary ticket for each ticket purchased using AMEX Platinum card.

Of course it was mentioned a few pages back
