when and how u redeem?

according to CS, if u redeem online...takes about 1 week to reflect (and yes, the points will be deducted 1st)

if through call direct to CS and request, it's about  3 days.

Appear in statement or M2U?

My case, GST offset request through phone, 10k points were deducted on the 7th day. GST rebates shown at M2U on the 11th day (this after several reminders)
*
I have done it through the phone and I check its not reflected in M2U transaction history. Guess I'll need the 11th day for it to be refelcted.

Dont wait. Start follow up with CS. The second CS said mine will only be shown in the next month's statement, which I know is BS. I finally get mine to appear after i mention Bank Negara's name in my email.

12. Fastest way to get the Maybankard 2 Cards is go and apply at MBB Card Centre at 1U or KLCC where they are supposed to process your application within an hour. Saturdays also can.

Still valid? They can perform our credit evaluation and issue the card within an hour?

while it's a good idea to call up, there should not be a mad rush on it, just give it a call.

for my case, i tot rebate should apply before the GST is impose (which is not the case of course according to others here, u can still get rebate even a few months after GST is imposed, provided u paid the GST 1st). with my initial thinking, i ask CS what happen if they charge me GST and i din pay and they charge me late charges, since my payment deadline is near. CS assured me if late payment is charged, just call back to CS, they will waive. which they did for me smile.gif

They also assured me that if i choose not to pay first, they can waive any penalty for late charges but i dont think i need to go thru such hassle for a very standard redemption procedure. I had to call two times to request for redemption as my first request was apparently not key-ed in to the system and i dont expect such thing to occur, esp for a platinum line.

And the fact that the CS repeatly tell me it will not be reflected in M2U until the next statement is a display of not knowing their own system.

I also called them up to offset with the TP. The CS said will take 2~4 days to reflect in the M2u.
Sounds conflict with what the CS told u.... rclxub.gif

Now, is point deducted, but not appear yet.

on the GST, around 7 weeks ago, i have through their online system to use treats points to offset. received an e-mail after complete the online redemption, stated 3-4 weeks later shall appear in statement. but until last week ( already 6 weeks plus) still not. i made a phone call on this issue on last Sat. then the staff replied will phone me back on the just passed Mon. on Mon this week, i received a phone call and the staff explained will reflect 7-14 days later start from Mon without any further explanation. after listening to this explanation, i through the phone immediately politely f* (no vulgar words) their service, not to have penalty late pay due to their idiot faulty system and no checking on their system. then only the staff silent for a while and explained and start to "blame" the faulty system. this is the 2nd time this year 2012, i need to make phone call to ask them to correct their mistakes.

my 1st phone call complaint in early Jan 2012 the staff also put the "blame" onto their system.
even my old cc still at my mbb acount for 2-3 years after termination. i need to phone MBB to wipe off the record. but CIMB recently has started to clean off those old records, 1 of my cc which has been terminated 1 year ago only recently wipe off by CIMB.
human is alive and can think and not machine, pls mbb.

IMHO, redeem to offset by points but at the same time pay the RM50 GST first
wait patiently for MBB to credit back to your account, no need to keep calling, piece of mind

QUOTE(hye @ Mar 20 2012, 10:29 PM)
Read again folks. The guy have FD in other banks but want to get a Maybank 2 Platinum.
Even if can ... TS need to pledge full FD amount to Maybank before the bank to consider his request. Otherwise evaluation fall back to income as the prerequisite.
RM4K would not qualify .. sorry.

Boonykun ... please refrain yourself. I've observe inappropriate language use over the last few post and a few even quoted it. I've mentioned in my MOD post that I have no tolerance to such language. The swipe / transaction control at the bank originates back from the days pre chip based cards where petrol pump frauds were the rage. (Myself also a victim) Losses per bank per month were in the range of RM500K-RM1 million per month and since then cc issuers have such policies in place to protect them and also the cardholders.

If you had been a victim of such rampage before ... you'll thank the bank for imposing this control.
So anyone want to kiasu about petrol contest, etc - please remind yourself of this limit control by the bank.
*
I'm Sorry for the wrongly chosen "way of typing" and also "Wrongly chosen words to be used" that deems badly in your ways of understanding, Mostly because of the "b" word etc etc.... will take note of how I type in this section, tried to refrain from "extremely offensive" languages but after reading back Clause 1B from your MOD notes, stall agree to abide on that on my best effort.

I am in a little rage especially when i couldn't even pump with the cards that i wanted despite i have done previously... nevertheless i have also been a victim (not as Serious as up to over RM1,000, just around RM150++ fraud that covered by Maybank) as i have placed the card on top of my car and drove away and only spotted the card missing after 2km driving distance but would require a total of 20km++ travelling distance + jam + late to work and other related matters, so i just made a call to maybank to cancel and for some reasons the thief managed to "spend" RM150++ before i cancel the card...Blame myself for being foolish.

Nevertheless Since if you want to take it as that the banks are the one who are protecting us, then let's just leave it as it is... as i have called Shell's customer service today and indeed they have no idea what i am trying to tell them on this matter. So i assume that it's not under their control.

Imply back to the Kiasuness of petrol contest and Thanking of banks to do this.. i can't comment much on kiasu cos I'm not even submitting the forms... only helped like 2 times for the forms, one for my dad , and one for my friend .

But for my own case... as a Victim (not heavily effected, just bare minimum to even called as theft) i still prefer that they allow us to pump up to 3 times... That's my point of view...

an extra pump of *I believe non-signature authorization* RM200 won't hurt much don't they? (except you want to take overall Malaysian's Card ownership *RM200 per day of frauds), then i shall kept silence for this matter for once for all...

you may want to read carefully my statement. i did not mention "keep calling". i made phone call ONE time only. i have been very patient. and pls enlighten me why i should make payment for others' mistakes?
if i did not make ONE phone call & leave as it is, no actions and their staff are not aware and no positive results shall happen.

i know smile.gif

what i mean is they impose GST, i tot for the rebate, need to rush to redeem before payment date of the GST.
that's why i called CS and ask him what if i was charged late payment, since i tot after i pay for GST, i can't redeem it

turns out that even after i paid the GST, if redeem, they would sort of refund the rm50 smile.gif

my bad, maybe i shud not quote ur reply
i was generally suggesting that for MBB GST redemption with TP, pay up the RM50 GST and then wait for MBB to credit back to your account
you can even pay the RM50 first and then redeem the TP in the following month
no need to worry about anything icon_rolleyes.gif

generally, i just keep the visa in my wallet for back up and i do not use it. so again, why should i pay if i have used points to offset the gst and wait for them to credit back?
it is about people are not doing their jobs and put the "blame" onto the system. am voicing here is hope someone from mbb can note this & improve.
i only use the amex and another bank master. using another bank is bcos i did encounter one time at overseas 1 of the banks cc failed to get through at hotel. luckily got another bank cc as back up.
