Hi guys thinking to apply my own card to start building credit rating ( currently using my father's sub card but not really using anymore) but I have no idea to go for which bank ... I watch a lot of movie and I think Citibank offer discount for TGV ? If not mistaken ... Currently have one two maybank account, one for personal usage another one for company to bank in my salary ... And one more public bank account for my saving ... Any recommendation ? One more question... Is it the same to apply in those booth sometimes appear in shopping centre ? Thx

Hello sifus, recently I applied platinum credit card from SCB and Citibank, for some reason they rejected my applications. I sure that my CTOS and CRISS all cleared, I am planning to apply from other banks in next few months, any suggestion that to avoid my application reject again.

**FYI currently I own Maybank platinum 2 cards.

Guys,
I was wondering does cancelling credit cards will affect the credit rating of a person ? I am planning to cancel 2 cards at the same time. Not much usage and sort of like dragging me .. sweat.gif

The answer is no. Why do you think it will affect your credit rating?

Unless you can get multiple Wise VISA or OCBC TMC, MBB2 AMEX is the only card that can give earn you the most rewards/cash back and not to mention, it's much less troublesome as well.

Wouldn't HL Essential be better? MBB AMEX can get 5x points for TNB and TM?

I won't affect your credit rating but bear in mind that once you cancelled your credit card, the record of these card will be removed from CCris report.

It will cause trouble for you especially when you are in the midst of applying a housing or personal loan.

Yes. There is a maybankard centre at level 3 (if i not mistaken, can't recall the exact floor)

It depends on the merchandiser whether they offers such plan for the banks.

Apart from the new CIMB Cash Rebate Platinum MasterCard, are there any other cards that offer better or similar 5% cash rebate for Ecommerce spend (like at Groupon, Airasia, Agoda)?
