timeonce I wish to be polite but there's no such thing as accidentally apply for a credit card. There's an application process, a form, provide details and documents plus your gf need to sign on the dotted line. I disagree if you want (or your gf) to call it accidental.
I thought previously been mentioned some banks will 'add on' auto-approved card for various types of transaction/loan etc?

one still need to sign on the relevant document(s) or need to give consent or maybe the bank representative check the relevant box (e.g. in the loan application form) requesting for the card without one realizing.

maybe the gf "accidentally" blurted out to timeonce she has her own Principal card now and afraid that timeonce will cancel her supp card; and as such, had to come up with the excuse, hahaha

Submitted my HSBC gold card application, so what documents are required or to be submitted? Anyone care to enlighten me? I am a HSBC savings account holder.

It is not stated at the application form? You can find out the docs from HSBC website.

Hi ,

Thanks mate. Noted. Then will ask her keep the card then and swipe only 3 times as citibank very hard to pay. I prefer MBB as can online banking anytime after purchase.

I think you need to keep yourself updated with the times ... especially with the paying methods.
You can use IBG which is essentially available via all online banking facilities. Starting next month, IBG fees will be slashed to just RM0.10 (What can you buy with RM0.10 these days anyway?) per transaction - it's even cheaper to pay your credit card online than travelling to the bank!

I suppose mobile banking means IBG done over the ATM ?

No changes to that and existing fee (if applicable) applies. Depending on your account type, some banks provide limited fee free withdrawal at all other banks' ATM every month. For instance, HSBC Premier Account and Citibank Citigold Account.

ATM too, is a form of mobile banking besides portable mobile devices, though in this fee revision it may not includes IBG done through ATM. And some ATM are definitely off-site doh.gif

It is said Maybank MasterCard has even lower foreign exchange rate compared to Maybank VISA. So Maybank MasterCard is probably better if your main concern is the foreign exchange rate. Besides this, MasterCard tends to have more promotions too.
