I performed Online Bill Payment for Astro via
1. OCBC Online Banking
2. SCB Online Banking
Both were done on the 16-Sep-2012 (few mins apart)

The SCB payment was reflected earlier compared to OCBC.... brows.gif

the question is, why you choose to pay astro using SCB and forego 5%?

Because SCB's was 100% rebate > 5% right ?
It's from the SCB Preferred WMC Card Application cashback.

Less than that cos purchase normal ticket.
Rm 11 ticket price + Rm 1 booking fee= Rm 12.
5% cashback will be 60 cents only, hehe...

How long is advisable if I want to terminate my newly applied credit card? Got SCB Plat around May12, no longer in use after I spent the RM300 cash rebate.

I don't think there is any advisable time frame, you can terminate anytime you want.
Of course, terminate before the anniversary to avoid paying GST. smile.gif

this might be answered a few posts ago, but sorry if i ask again...

for fuel transactions (doesnt matter which card)...if i swipe it at the pump, there will be some floating amount (rm200-rm250) right? how about if i swipe it at the counter? will there be those floating amount as well, or will it be deducting the amount as what i told the cashier to charge me? hmm.gif

Counter swipe will not have the "pre-authorization amount" has the cashier will know the EXACT amount to be paid.

so, in other words...no floating amount or something along that line?

counted from statement date. in other words, there will be no interest charged if you pay all outstanding before the statement due date.

i wonder this also.

say i spend total of 1k for the month statement (statement issued on 10th and free interest period is 20 days).

at 30th+- of the month, i need to settle all 1k to avoid any interest?
what if i pay on the minimum amount, interest will be charged?

sorry, noob question.. new to cc.. biggrin.gif
