wat is d material 4 ur coating actually? will it bcm whitish in color like a old plastic cover thru time? how abt scratch, d 'wound' will bcm bigger n bigger since water gt into d coat?

Seller mentioned that it was a form of silicate which bonds onto your paint surface. If an accident happens, it is definitely recommended to go for a touchup.

According to Choong, the person who runs Sierra Glow, says that the coat is an extra layer where it will withstand the elements instead of your original paint coat.

ok ppl saying if RPM more FC is more... i see my RPM already reaching 2.5 to 3 if drive in 100km speed...
so if i want it to be between 2-2.5 then i have to drive below 100km or 90 km...
already slow feeling la...

how about urs bro ?

lets share the RPM of your vehicle if reach 100km.. is it 3 ?
*
IINM, the tachometer hits close to 3 at about 110km/h on my manual. But FC is not all about RPM - autoboxes use a torque converter which isn't as efficient as a manual, and it also heavier.

Should you shift an automatic transmission from 'D' to 'N' while waiting at traffic lights?

"Shifting it to N frequently increases wear and tear. Not much benefit in terms of saving on gas ", brake-pad is cheaper than transmission.." thts what most of them saying...

Yup.. switching D to N frequently will shorten the lifespan of ur gearbox.
The most effective way to save fuel is still using a light foot. Step gradually on the pedal when u want to move instead of jamming on it.

So far it does not really matter actually. I have my wira for more than 12 years and shift to N at traffic light. So far the gear box is still okay when I trade my car for myvi. One thing I did is to consistently change the gear box lubricant every 20k and gear box filter every 40k. Nevertheless, maybe the technology of the car changed.

Personal think that it is insignificant.

Many people drive AT for 10+ years, 15+ years, even 20 years, and encountered thousand or ten or thousand "shifting" cycle, and only few suffer breakdown due to wear and tear on this.
The more important is changing AT transmission oil periodically.

In theory, yes, more shift more wear, but insignificant for most entire car life.

Wondering what if changing the gear between L, 2 and D frequently but not N?
Will the gear box's lifespan is even worse than changing D to N at every single traffic light? @@

*off topic*
Anyone here have our K3-VE engine's ECU wiring diagram? or any possible way to get it?
Thx
=)

It should be insignificant as well.
Any gear box, or gear system should able to withstand high cycle of shifting, if not why they are there in the first place. smile.gif
A failure due to purely more "shifting" is not common.

If the gear is there, it let you to use/to shift!
Unless one is using L/2 and constant put in high rpm for long period of time, then different story.

Unless one is playing/shifting hundred or thousand per day for fun, may be it could.

I think this kind worry is needless if one is properly maintain the car periodically.

Look at TS Post#4. It has got a link to the list of things you need to check when you get your new car. Nevertheless, I guess you have already gotten your car and sign off the list with P2 already eh.

Just sent my car to Bangi Raytech tinting company, using the voucher given. Service is good, the guy explained the types available and also gave discount, considering we're a bit over-budget.

At first, I was thinking of just getting the solar film, coz cheaper but then he said the difference between solar and security film is only about 100-200 bucks, why not choose the security film, seeing that I'm a girl. Actually, I do think installing security film is better for my own safety too, who knows what can happen. He then let me and my friend try the different tints and the heat that passed through each type.

In the end, he gave me a package:

For the windows, safety film model CS 85 Series, CS 85 - Grey.

original price RM2100 but with the voucher rm300, he gave me discount till rm1400 (best price he can give). At first, it's 1500.

I don't know if it's considered cheap or very expensive. Overall, I'm quite satisfied with the quality. It's much darker inside and cooler. And the shop is filled with customers! Some with vouchers like me, others came on their own. I think they can be trusted seeing how many customers they have.
