GHOSTVIC, regarding your enquiry from the previous thread - there's only one place you can do the coating for RM500, and it's Sierra Glow in USJ1 as he only has one outlet.

what does this RM500 coating do?
*
It's similar to an extra layer of thick clear coat, but dirt washes off easily, and your car paint does not oxidise over time. Head and rear lamps can be coated to prevent oxidation on the surface so it stays clear. Plastic trims can be also coated so it will stay black. smile.gif

RM500 for whole car? and 5 years warranty? Seems worth the money hmm.gif
what if I want to just do the plastic trims?
*
It's RM500 for a Myvi, and will cost more if it's a bigger car. As for plastic trims, I don't think it comes separately. You can give the owner Mr Choong a call at 0161452913 to enquire.

Hi colinwong89, how long the coating process took you? can show us yr rides after the coating layer? drool.gif
*
I sent it at 10AM, and it was ready by 1.30PM. According to him it takes long because they have to wash and clay the car, as any dirt not cleaned off after coating will be seen under it. The car takes 24 hours to fully cure, where it can get in contact with water and the sun but you shouldn't wash your ride.

I can show, but since the car and coat is still new, sure shiny sweat.gif I'll snap photos after a month, I do weekly washes myself - then I'll upload photos. From there we can see if the coat was really worth the RM500 smile.gif

...i would considered you're one of the luckiest owner to have spa yr new rides with a coating, paying premium to enjoy looking at it, needn't to drive it bro rclxms.gif

...me too is contemplating of spa my rides & was quoted rm600 yesterday when i made my enquiry, no idea of what kind of chemical to be used though. So, looking at yrs at rm500 is worth it yah icon_rolleyes.gif ...hope that you will keep us updated in time to come smile.gif
*
If mine was premium it would cost RM1200 or higher laugh.gif I was looking for no-maintenance coats as certain products require you to go back for treatment to uphold their warranty. Sierra Glow is the cheapest in the list, after extensive checking. The more expensive ones would be Opti-Coat 2.0 (1.4K last quoted) and GZOX (didn't exactly find out the price but it was 2K++), with higher grades costing even more.

Imagine, paying a spa for my car rather than for myself. sweat.gif

I forgot to mention. Any of your car pedals vibrate? It's not too much but you can feel it's there.

I saw your thread at the ICE section - planning to swap the 4" for something better without doing any rewiring and stuff. If you want we could go together to EA/kelvyn's to test tem out. smile.gif

Heard from my SA that the buzzer is merely plugged into the car without any wiring modifications, yet they charge us for 'labor charges'.

1 question..

Do we really need to warming up the car first b4 jalan?
Cause i just start engine, and then terus jalan..haha
*
You can drive your car, but take it slow for the first 5-10 minutes to let it warm up. Reasons given:

1) Your car warms up faster when you're loading the engine.
2) You don't waste fuel on idling. No distance done, no mileage gained.
3) Your catalytic converter warms up faster. CCs only start working once it's at a certain temperature, thus reducing emissions from your car.

Kesian GHOSTVIC. Regret already taking an auto and you guys put salt onto the wound tongue.gif

Anyway, as some might have requested. 3 days after coating, just after a slight morning rain. Will update as time goes.

Just got into office - but I'll be up early tomorrow, will get some shots then smile.gif

Let's hope that it can last that long, as my car is a test mule for my family and you guys as well. Most people online, when they review things, have all the praise when it's working well, but immediately keep quiet when something goes wrong. After all, who likes to be proven wrong in their decisions?

Part of doing a review is to be unbiased as you can, and you gotta take it as it is. If the coat doesn't go the way it should, I'll definitely mention it out.

RM38? A little pricey for something you can find on Ebay, IMO.

BTW, I think I should also ask here. To those who are using manuals - when you play a song via the USB and press the SEL button to read different information of the MP3, eg title, album, artist - does the setting stay there after you switch off the car? Mine doesn't, and it's getting annoying.

Crap. I listen to a lot of songs which I do not know the titles, and I drive for relatively short distances, and I have to press that button all the time when I get in? How could they slip this up?

I review songs and albums when I drive, and what I usually do is I shove tons of them into the USB stick to playback from start to end. Most of the titles do not use the English alphabet which makes it hard to know which song is from which album, which is the case why the convenience of the viewing the information is important to me sad.gif

Anyone facing problem pairing the radio with phone via Bluetooth?  Somehow they cannot get my Galaxy Tab, Samsung i780 and Blackberry connected.  These three devices never even detect the bluetooth from the radio.

I've yet to use the BT function, sorry I can't help. But I should give it a try someday smile.gif
