If you're in a good job in Singapore... you'll earn more working a secure, relatively stress free 8 hours a day vs 99% of the people who do their own little business working 24/7.

If the business venture is something ground breaking, game changing - then yes, it's worth the time, energy and risk.

But if it's something lame like opening a cafe, makan place, some dinky little store selling handphones somewhere... I rather work 9 to 5 and earn a much better return on the investment of my time & energy.

Either that or they will exploit you and play mind games with you since they know if your an FT, you will value your position in your company more so then a singapore citizen or PR.

Im not so concerned about the typical singaporen employer since i am no longer employed by one and i only drop into singapore if i am on assignment.

They can fire you in Malaysia as well lah. And for a little bit more money, they can get your legs broken as well as a farewell gift.
