actually i can get more than RM5k here. If you can get extra 2k (after convert to RM), do u think is worth for you to move?

SGD5K - rental at least SGD700 = SGD4300..

Actually agent also told me that: since you can get that amount in malaysia, why u still want to go singapore (although salary extra 1k-2k). I just feel singaporean are push down our salary because we are malaysian and they know we want to earn SGD. yawn.gif

Malaysia also need to pay rental/instalment lah.

Besides S$4300 is equivalent to RM10300. Do you end up with RM10K after deducting rental/instalment in Malaysia?

RM7K... after deducting rental, you probably have RM6K.

RM6K compared to S$4.3K/RM10K... yes?

this is a trick question right?
if u focus only on money...you already have your answer.
if u are focusing on feeling...what i feel is different from what u or others feel....so how can i comment? sweat.gif sweat.gif

Not really.
You forgot to factor in SG lower tax (no withholding), lower cost of living and lower transportation costs (no need car).

In M'sia you have to take into account housing loan or rent (if you're not staying in father & mothers house), car instalments, servicing of car, petrol, parking, toll in addition to the higher cost of virtually everything from food to clothes and higher tax.

To give you a flavour of what that means, I am currently SAVING (after all deductions including rental, tax, transportation, food, entertainment, etc) in Singapore Dollars MORE than I earn (Gross) in Malaysia after conversion into RM....and I'm paid RM 1 = SGD1.....

I Miss the Malaysia food in kuchai lama, SS2 Murni and Asia Cafe

And read chinese news paper in SG,similar with HK apple daily style, nothing big news but just gossip and realize that alot SG young lady easily cheated by guys....not handsome 1 and no money also....

Internet:
In SG every house wifi also got password protected. Not like Malaysia i scan the wifi can found many unify or streamyx user did not put the password and can easy use their network.

You guys actually read STOMP?
Anyone buying insurance in Singapore? Such as those term life, capital guarantee, or savings type of insurance?

Am considering whether to "top up" Malaysian insurance, or buying one in Singapore.

Anyway, no perf bonus nor pay raise for me this year, although I've got my pro-rated 13th month salary. I guess it's fair enough since I started work last September.
