Hi guys....
Today is my last working day in Malaysia
Tomorrow i will come 2 SG join you all.......

Just change RM 4k=SGD 1654.

Just a question, i need bring along the IPA letter when in the SG immigration, the white card i need fill in 30 days is it? and for working?

Now pack all my things, I know that in SG rent a room need EP, however i only have IPA, did anyone use IPA letter rent a room during waiting EP process?

i think during early April i need go back Malaysia to submit the income tax, my employer not ready the EA yet.

if you see the air of 'Royalties' surrounding him, then it's Him ! Remember to tell him all your grievances. The King don't work for money, just undercover to check on the working/living condition of 'his people' in Sg

Is there high paying iPhone production related jobs in SG that offer 2.8k for a fresh poly grad?

A technician candidate said her friend got the offer and asking why she gets much less than that.

When I heard the story, the image of china Foxconn appear in my mind.

Just changed some SGD to MYR today at my usual money changer in Ipoh. Pretty low at 2.38. Interesting thing is that I'm checking Maybank2u.sg right now, and it's also 2.38 using Regionlink. This is the 3rd time this year that I've checked and found that M2U is offering a competitive rate vs money changers. There is of course the issue of the S$15 fee with M2U, but given the fact that I had to walk around with a pocketful of SGD for the past couple of days... $15 to remove the whole hassle seems worth it.

Sean, I believe u have maybank2u account both in MY & SG. Is there a limit to transfer funds from your account in MY to SG? I was told no limit as this is consider own account transfer & no extra charges besides exchange rate. True?

Guys,

Which area would be a more "strategic" place to stay if I am not sure where my future work location is going to be?

This might not be the best idea..but I'm thinking to get a room and stay there until I find a job.
Heard from my SG friend says that 6 months is the minimum I can go with

Some people suggested me to stay in JB temporarily...just don't want to take the risk after hearing so many weird crimes going on there. shakehead.gif shakehead.gif

tell them u are the king's disciple, who dare to touch you.. tongue.gif
actually, JB is not that bad la. seriously, most of the crimes reported are related to the underworld...
if u don't get involve with them, they won't disturb you. and they will treat you nicely as well since those ppl operate business as well.
and without a WP, EP or SP, u can't legally rent a room in SG. so it won't work... situation might get worst if SG gov finds out u are
staying here illegally. If u have criminal record in SG, i would say 99% ur EP, WP or SP application will get rejected.

Like lester said, you can't legally rent a room in singapore on a tourist visa. furthermore, you're looking at rm1.5k+ minimum a month for a room, and it is easily possible that it will take you several months to get an offer, so it makes a lot more financial sense to stay in JB and only come in when you have interviews (it's not like you're gonna have multiple interviews a day)

talking about these.. i can say i see KL is more dangerous than JB. most of JB crime involve vehicle theft and also murder...
as long as u lock your vehicle properly, there is nothing that need to be scare. also depends on the location...
if u stay at those samseng area, of course u always kena rob la. just like in KL, u stay in Cheras and stay in PJ the crime rate also diff ma.

@shinichi go to jaben at adelphi (coleman street near city hall mrt). it's a small shop, the uncle is super friendly, you can sit and try like all types of headphones til you find a pair that you like, they don't pressure you to buy at all one.

Thanks deodorant, yeah I bought my HR1 earphone there. He is very friendly and even gave me free Fiio amp the last time i buy there.
But I'll need do some research before I head there, at least i have some ideas on what I'll be getting while trying out other headphones recommended by them.
