QUOTE(deodorant @ Feb 26 2012, 05:27 PM) No such thing for my fiancee before she got her LTVP. After 30 days, every time she comes into Singapore the ICA ppl calculate exactly how many days she has left (out of the 60 days allowance) and mark it on her entry chop in the passport. that was exactly what happen to someone i knewthe immigration officer cancelled off the 30 days written on the white card and rewrote it to 21 or a number lesser. and we did not know of such a rule until eventually...until day 59 tried to enter, immigration say only left 1 day. |

Just changed some SGD to MYR today at my usual money changer in Ipoh. Pretty low at 2.38. Interesting thing is that I'm checking Maybank2u.sg right now, and it's also 2.38 using Regionlink. This is the 3rd time this year that I've checked and found that M2U is offering a competitive rate vs money changers. There is of course the issue of the S$15 fee with M2U, but given the fact that I had to walk around with a pocketful of SGD for the past couple of days... $15 to remove the whole hassle seems worth it.

QUOTE(Shinichi @ Feb 26 2012, 05:16 PM) I'm considering getting a pair of speaker, but since I'm staying in HDB (guess most of us here do), is headphone a better option compared to speaker? I personally would get headphones since i love to crank up my music and staying in an enclosed space like singapore, it would be an annoyance to your neighbors, not to mention of housemates.PS: I'm an audiophile... What type of headphone are you looking into, earpad headphones, in-ear headphones, over the ear headphones etc. Since your an audiophile, i would recommend the Sennheiser's HD 800. There's a store in ION orchard which is dedicated solely to headphones, you could enquire and ask the store staff on recommendation of headphones which suite your preference. QUOTE(Tigerr @ Feb 27 2012, 02:37 PM) Last week, see the rate @2.403, didnt change all the money, only 2k, as thinking this week to change the remainder and hope can rebound....but now.... Looking at the bright side, normally the rate during this time is usually lower than mid of the month by a bit. So there might still be hope. Any idea why Malaysia Ringgit managed to go up eh? |

If you're in the finance line, time to find a new job! Because banks like HSBC will have $22billion profit and yet cut 30,000 jobs
