Ok but I'd rather get a SSD+HDD combo for that.

It's the fastest HDD in the world right now.
Good drive but I'd still suggest you get a SSD + a 3TB Seagate HDD, it'll be a better investment.

Skeptical.
I myself anaylse we'll almost (perhaps about 20-30% from pre-flood level prices) reach those levels by the end of the year or Q1 2013.

Does it happen when you copy a single file, like a 4GB movie for instance?

Try one more thing. Run WD diagnostic tool.
http://download.wdc.com/windlg/WinDlg_124.zip

Run the short test first, then the long test.
If if you get errors or such, time to RMA. biggrin.gif

i think the HDD price will drop according timeframe perhaps, as little as one month RM10 i guess. So, 12 mth x 10 = 120 for a year smile.gif

Now, is between RM480 for 3TB next year is RM360 rclxms.gif

My appologies, I wasn't sure if your intended usage is for gaming or not (since you're going for velociraptor, I assume it was).
As to why, the velociraptor's 1TB price is about RM900.

The 3TB seagate is only RM460.

Performance difference between the both is only noticeable, but not by much.
So for nearly less than half the price, why not get more storage?

It's okay, I forgive you.

Well, I want this HDD because I want to balance between storage capacity and transfer speed

I know SSD is fast, but these are too expensive and the offered storages is not big as HDD does.

And now it's acting up again. Could it be because I don't really "eject/remove HDD" ? hmm.gif
