QUOTE(axii @ Mar 26 2012, 09:38 PM) Wrong. yeah.. just had a look at the drybox.. its 49mm..All E-mount lenses use 49mm except for the SEL18200, which is at 67mm. 49mm lens caps (rear/front) are hard to come around here. I suggest you try eBay. Or Studio Zaloon; would be a good shot. rear cap can be gotten from some fellas in the garage sale.. comes with both body and rear lens cap.. i bought abt 5 pairs of them.. any one wants the body cap? LOL oh.. just read that there's caps in 1U.. This post has been edited by jtan.pdr: Mar 27 2012, 06:06 PM |

For Sony NEX bodies:
A = Sony E 16mm F2.8 pancake D = Sony E 16mm F2.8 pancake + Sony E 18-55mm F3.5-5.6 OSS H = Sony E 18-200mm F3.5-6.3 Active OSS K = Sony E 18-55mm F3.5-5.6 OSS |

Wonder to get it to start my 'zoom lens'journey' The 135mm f/2.8 isn't a zoom lens, it's a prime lens, meaning the angle of view is not going to change. And for the record as well, it's a Manual Focus lens (not that it's not hard to use when Manual Peaking Mode is used), but it's just so you know.This post has been edited by lwliam: Mar 28 2012, 12:33 AM |

I noticed on that is prime lens, I m totally newbie in photography and just get my nex for 4months ago, wonder to get some long shoot than 18-55mm... Any idea on the brand optomax? how the optomax 135mm f2.8 lens recommend? It's seem like reasonable with the pricing and i could learn with it for initial level |

i have try out NEX 7 the other day... like the camera overall, but the only drawback which i find is it is not so "portrait" friendly... wat i mean is not taking portrait but in portrait orientation...
when the camera in landscape the flip screen is very useful to get all sort of angles, high or low. but in portrait... i find it hard to use to get all those angle. anyone got any idea to overcome this (other than lying on the floor to get low angle shot)? |

QUOTE(idoblu @ Mar 28 2012, 08:19 AM) i know, cos the view finder is very nice when i try it out... but some times when go for high and low angle it is not possible to use the EVF... so have to play some guessing game i guess? just like using other camera which do not hav the tilt screen... hmm... actually quite tempting by the NEX camera... still thinking... |

beelze_gpwk: many people has been using a non-tilting screen for many decades without any issues. having the tilt screen just eases your task, you just need to do it the old fashion way when it's in portrait orientation. same thing goes with my NEX 3.
need more tilt angle? get A77/65/55/35/33/580/550/450/380/350/300/...etc.. This post has been edited by lwliam: Mar 28 2012, 10:32 AM |
