hi all..just bought NEX-5NK today... RM2199 come with 3 year warranty from sony... class 4 8gb...camera case and some lens protection kit and sony mini gorilla like tripod.. good deal?

How bout Kenko or Keep? I saw quite a lot of these in GArage Sales Section.

I'm using the HVL-F20S and its better than the bundled flash as its brighter, comes with a diffuser and "taller". if you are looking into buying the 18-200mm lens or any zoom/telephoto lens the bundled flash would cause a shadow cos its too short. however they have a flash extender for this.

what you can do to achieve the bounce flash effect is to just attach a shiny reflective card at the lower part of the HVL-F7S and secure it with a rubber band. works only if you have a low ceiling though.

BTW, wth the new 55mm F1.4 minolta bokeh master, I hv to saurce for step down ring 55-52 step down ring for my macro filters & another body cover to keep the Nex zoom lens..manyak susah haha

For sure ,ore than F1.7 price but very ancient type and heavy. Got if from LYN Garage sales. RM350 inc of NEX adaptor .. so I think good buy liao bcos ebay also ~ US$70 -US$99 exc adaptor & delivery

i hate heavy lens, glad that my md 50mm f1.7 is light and small

Any recommendation for a zoom lens (+ micro) that doesn't break my wallet, don't mind with the converter and manual focus.
The Tamron 18-200mm DI III is tempting but way off my budget d.

I have the classic Konica Hexanon 80-200mm F4.5 and Vivitar 80-205mm F3.8 (Konica mount) to let go.
It will be quite affordable classic zoom lenses which have solid build. All come with cap.
