QUOTE(RX-78-2 @ Jul 26 2012, 03:10 AM) This is how it look like when Voigtlander 28mm F2.0 put on the NEX-5N! Better fit than the original emount leh?? Thanks for sharing bro.Refer to my previous post: no time to take and upload much photo. here just a bit: The first 2 with HDR I think... ![]() ![]() ![]() I like this one, but too rush turn out OOF!! ![]() Will try to share more next time got chance to play. BTW suddenly come to mind. Since these lenses (voiglander, M lens etc) arent design originally for NEX... what are the other limitation of using such lenses compare to the original Emount lens? I know the first thing is ... it is Manual focus only. Then the Aperture is set manually too. But is that the only difference? What happened when we use liveview on LCD... and as we change the aperture... will the the liveview update the exposure as well? Will the camera KNOWS what aperture we are using and indicates our aperture in the screen? Meaning.. Will what we see in the lcd, is what we will get in the final photo? And will automatic exposure works with these lens? We can use Aperture Priority mode? or just SUPER MANUAL only. & there will be no EXIF data in the final image. The adapters actually come with any electronic contacts? or is just to mount the lens onto the body without any other connection. If everything works the same way, only Manual focus + Manual Aperture... Then I can consider those lens. |

dpreview seems to indicate otherwise, think 5N can fight or on par with Canon high end SLRs...

QUOTE(clivengu @ Jul 28 2012, 06:24 PM) Thanks for sharing bro. Liveview will update the exposure. You may see a fast framerate when the lens is wide open, but gets a slow framerate and ISO boost when the lens is closed down. You will see deeper depth of field when stopping down as well. Yes, what you see in the LCD is in the final photo. Automatic exposure works - I use it in Aperture Priority and it is fine when switching to other lenses - I don't change it from Aperture Priority ever. The EXIF will say F1.0 with a focal length of 0mm on an unchipped lens adapter or an unchipped lens.BTW suddenly come to mind. Since these lenses (voiglander, M lens etc) arent design originally for NEX... what are the other limitation of using such lenses compare to the original Emount lens? It is pretty much like how unchipped lenses for Sony Alpha work, if you've tried M42 or Samyang lenses. |
