Hi Albert! Thanks for clarify this. I nvr tried any samyang lense before and this is first time I play with LIveview so dont know how it should work yet. Btw albert you have many experience with other lenses. In your opinion do you think there is any manual lens worth getting compare to the CZ24mm f1.8? If lets say manual focusing is not a problem. Budget about same with CZ. In term of sharpness and rendering quality while wide open. I actually have been looking for Voigtlander 35mm f1.2, but it is more expensive than autofocus CZ, but is there really difference in picture quality. There is no way i can test this lens. Assume comparing both lens at F1.8 (instead of 1.2) Voigtlander 35mm f1.4 is much compact but looking at the review the lens is not very sharp ... will it justify to get a manual lens more expensive than CZ 24mm? It is actually quite fun playing manual focusing on NEX, since I find nex tend to miss focus a lot more often compare to Alpha especially in low light.

Studio Zaloon has the Voightlander Nokton 50mm F1.1 (can't remember price), the Voightlander 40mm F1.4 (RM14xx), Voightlander 35mm F1.4 (RM2xxx) and Voightlander 35mm F1.2 (can't remember price.) I'd say they are pretty worth it! I got some pictures with the 1.1.

Voightlander 40mm F1.4 M-mount, at F1.4, on the Sony NEX-5

Both are pretty darn sharp wide open! In fact, when I initially did an Unsharp Mask of 90% 0.3 pixels 3 threshold on the full-size image and shrunk it to its current size, it looked too crispy and oversharpened. So I just did a plain resize.

Oh!! didnt know Studio Zaloon actually selling these lens.. Thought uncle chin selling sony lens only tongue.gif

So you are saying the Voightlander may even have better image quality than the nex CZ or 50mm F1.8? I'll visit Zaloon and have a test myself before deciding if it is worth to sacrifice the autofocus/stabiliser.

No I am not, because I have not compared it to the CZ E 24mm F1.8 or the Sony E 50mm F1.8. I would say it has surprisingly good quality wide open!

Ouch sweat.gif They might be charging you the transportation fee to the service centre.
IMHO, I would definitely send to a reliable place to clean, as your sensor and lens is real dirty.. brows.gif

Added on August 2, 2012, 9:12 pmnew NEX-6! Coming in September this will be a sort of “mini-NEX-7″. It has an integrated viewfinder like the NEX-7 but with a tiny bit lower EVF resolution. The camera will be cheaper than the NEX-7 and price right in the middle between the NEX-5F (also coming in September) and the current NEX-7.

voigtlander makes lenses for a few mounts but their more popular ones (or rather majority of their lenses) are for leica m-mounts...

i am guessing you want to try the voiglander lens with your nex thus you are actually trying to ask for converters right? lets just assume it that way anyhow; leica m-mount to e-mount (nex) has a few brands like voigtlander or kipon or nameless brands... voigtlander ones are more expensive (about rm550 i think) and others should be bout rm200 - rm300 and you even could probably find ones that are less than rm100...
