hmm.. just get the red dot on the lens in line with the arrow on the adapter and turn clockwise. it should be secure when you hear a click sound. if your hand is on the pin, you won't be able to hear it. the aperture dial should facing upwards when attached to your NEX. btw, which lens are you attaching to the adapter? biggrin.gif

Cool. Thanks for sharing and don't waste the invite man. Are you an existing NEX, Alpha or Cybershot user? I guess they are cross selling NEX to other Sony customers, so they only invite those who has not bought a NEX yet.

Yes, I am existing Cybershot customer, HX1. Just subscribe their newsletter and the invitation also surprised me. Hope it is new NEX camera not just new lenses….huhu…

Coincident that I am also planning to migrate to more advance camera.

Now torn between GX1, Nikon 1 or NEX, autofocus is the priority. Should wait for NX210 since it is also around the corner.

OM-D is too expensive. Have only little money, need to choose properly.... sweat.gif

Hope to joint all of you soon. thumbup.gif

If not mistaken, you have to align the indicator red dot on the adapter upwards (towards flash unit), then twist quarter of a circle into place. There should be a soft click to ensure you have locked the adapter to the camera body.

I have the same lens but different brand adapter. My most used lens at the moment rclxms.gif

Confirmed...!

http://www.engadget.com/2012/05/17/sony-ne...d-sample-shots/

"Sony's newest NEX and DSLR have already graced these pages -- albeit in decidedly unofficial fashion -- but the time has come for this duo of shooters to be revealed to the world with the blessing of their maker. In case you didn't catch the earlier leaks, the NEX-F3 is the replacement for the much-beloved NEX-C3 as the entry-level ILC from Sony, while the A37 slots in the same place in the company's Alpha DSLR lineup. Sony's also rolling out fresh glass for each this July, in the form of an E-mount 18-200mm, F3.5-6.3 zoom lens for $850, and an 18-135mm F3.5-5.6 A-mount telephoto unit that'll set you back $500. Both the NEX-F3 and A37 will come with kit 18-55mm lenses and cost $600 when they go on sale in June, which makes them quite competitively priced as compared to their competition. An enviable pricing position, to be sure, but can they deliver the imaging goods? Well, we spent time with each on a tour of San Francisco recently, so join us after the break for our impressions and some sample photos."

The new SEL18200LE lost the Active OSS! It's now using the normal OSS found in the kit 1855! Make sure you check properly if you are buying for Video purposes!

“Costing £670, the new 18-200mm will be £30 cheaper than the existing version. However, it does not offer the same level of image stabilisation and its minimum close focusing distance is 30cm, compared to 50cm on the current model, said Asai.” - Joe Asai, Sony UK

So, you lose Active OSS for a black lens with shorter MFD.

It doesn't come with an external charger for the battery, though you can buy one if you want: rather, it charges over Micro USB, which Sony says will take perhaps about five hours with a 1.5 amp charger.
Kind of special built in charger, but charging need 5 hours? doh.gif what if i have 2 battery? 10 hours ? shocking.gif

That's right.

At this point, it doesn't matter how many bodies they release for E-mount, if they don't buck up and start producing more quality lenses. SAR reports that there will be 2 more E lenses announced during Photokina, a prime and a zoom. I'm hoping either a fast 35 or 85, and a wide angle zoom.

Just hoping to hell here that it won't be a "BLACK SEL50F18" and "BLACK SEL55210". I would murder b****es and choke presidents.

Simplest thing to do is..

Make both color, release at the same time..

Whack something like a 35 or 85 as you said, add more selections for Zeiss glass or more normal lens like 35 f1,8..

Or make fast glass like 50mm f1,4 or whatever.. All I hope is for more lens to be out by next year....
