quite true... 90-110 will get better mileage
i get 400km for rm40 on ron95 patronas few key issue to saving patrol as follow
1) try pumping patrol at high traffic patrol station as the patrol u get will be strait out from the loji for better performance!
2) press your paddle like pressing an egg , full throttle will burn more fuel!!
3) drive above 60km to 90km
4) dont put too much stuff in the car the car is already quite heavy at 1200kg
5) drive and cruise at 1500 rpm to 2000rpm but dont hog the road la or else sooner or later insight car will get pretty bad name

If possible don't allow service center to wash your car, especially interior.
I forgotten the reminder, I let them to wash my car (interior), after I came out from service center I only realize there is a deep scatch at the door step. If you ask me how it can happen with a shoe then i doubt! it must be some metal stuff fall on it. Or the shoe come with hard metal at the bottom. I have try to polish then still can see .

Few type of jerk/hesitation happen when:
1. The car starts accelerate using fuel only, then the motor kicks in to assist. Very mild one.
2. The car starting to coast on battery only at speed around 30-50kmh, very light on pedal. Fuel cut and i-vtec close all valve. More noticeable than no 1.
3. The fuel/engine kicks in when battery half empty or we step on the gas to go faster. Slight hesitation can be felt, comparable to no 2.
4. Air conditioning compressor kick on and off. Jerk or lurch. Very mild one.
5. Blip the throttle, the moment we are going for overtaking maneuver but suddenly back off due to whatever reason (oncoming car etc). The electric motor only started to assist when suddenly we back off.
6. Shift to 'S'. Sudden lurch forward especially if we're very early on gas.
7. Anytime at speed 60kmh and below, the engine going from 'fuel only' mode to 'recharging' mode. Very mild.
8. Sudden lurch while braking, happen when the car almost stop (speed below 15kmh or so). The car suddenly 'free'. Felt like pressing clutch on a manual car. More obvious if the engine immediately went into idle-stop.
9. The most noticeable jerk on this car was when the engine going from battery only mode to fuel mode, fuel kicks in simultaneously with aircond compressor. Happened to me once or twice.
Call it '9 type of shift' or even better '9 speed CVT'. For me they were not that bad, fully acceptable. I agree on suggestion swap car to verify the severity just in case some of us got lemon.

Hi there. If someone told you that the original bodykit is made out of ABS, you have been conned. I wouldn't be surprised the SA is the one who told you that the original bodykit is made of ABS material because he is probably going to recommend you to some place that sells ABS replica kits outside and earn a commission for it.
For all you new Insight owners, please note that all Honda bodykits are made of full PP material only! Do not listen to your SA if they tell you that ABS is the original material for bodykits. Confirm this with Honda management (those higher level guys who don't earn commission) if you don't believe me
Just thought I should share this info
PS: There is no requirement to drill holes to screw bodykits on your car. All authentic items are plug and play with 3M glue and OEM clippings. Too many customers have regretted their new beloved car being drilled on just to install some fake fiber bodykit

Today I just found a way to trigger the 100% Battery mode.
When run low speed smoothly (no climbing hill) and when you see combine battery+fuel mode, release the pedal and re-engage the pedal very lightly, then 100% battery mode will cut in.
Any extra accelerate/ battery drain/ climb hill will trigger combine battery+fuel mode again.
For those who never see battery full charge, I see before.
Just try to maximize any going down sloping (sacrifice some speed) during your battery full -1 bar.

Actually, if you don't mind the mild discomfort for those super short trips, my case is exactly like this.
Short trip to work ~2km only. With plenty of turn left turn right, ~3minutes drive.
Really killed my FC.... then one day, I tried the dreaded drive without aircon.
Went from ~15km to consistently 20km.. sometimes even 25km/l
Morning to work, afternoon to home type of travel, couple of minutes so... the aircond loss can be tolerated, and my average fc can be kept high!
On longer distance travels with more straight roads, getting 20-25km per liter consisntently too.

Forumer
westlife advise why not u do the touch up at the honda SC? do u know that if it is just touch up no need to pay one. of course it is not possible to cover up perfectly, at least the paint color will be closer than what you have now.
Forumer
mitmivec advise as normally it take 3 layer of coating and paint , some workshop does do a bit paint job they charge about 100++ to 200 if not mistaken will will sprey back a layer of outer coating and polish it back and it will be 90% like new
Forumer
limkj advise The SC will touch it up during your service and you can take it back the same day. I have got them to do some minor touch up on my Honda when I get some stone chips or light scratches. However as they touch it up with brush and not spray, you can still see the touch up. However, the paint Colour will match existing. So far did not charge me for it.
