@westlife

I tot 90K and below ? 95K is it they can return you that price if you ready to smash the car ? Windscreen is depends on you but some of the driver do pay so you won't have trouble of forfeit your NCB if your windscreen have issue.

@MsPotato

Honda SC advise whichever come first, 1st month or 1k . If you know well with the advisor there, then everything is possible. Let say 1st month reach but just drive 700KM also have to send already. Or around 1k Km but just drive 2 weeks also need to send to Service Center.

The letter stated there i can lower the coverage.

What amount will the reasonable amount to insure for 2nd year?
Becos next time they will compensate based on market value. I dun think our inight market value is high.

Over insure actually waste premium.

Hey guys, a dumb question - as I can only do servicing on Saturdays (weekdays working and would like to send my car to sc personally instead of seeking SA's help though they said they can help to pick up and send back to my office), can I actually do my 1st 1k service abit after 1k but within the 1month period or it has to be by definte within 1k?  Coz mine on average around 350km per week, so, i may need to service when it touches 700km on 2nd week if it has to be strictly within 1k.

Your advise please. wink.gif

I did my 1st service at 1500km 3 days after I took my car because I did a round trip to alor setar first day i owned the Insight. Service center never complained about it. My 5k and 10k service were quite on time. Just did my 15k service few days back and my mileage is 15699, after i made a round trip kl-penang-kota bharu-kl which is close to 1000km. so far sc had not complained. I am doing around 5k a month.

How the sc quote for your next service mileage? 20699 or 20000? i found they always quote me for round up mileage like 5000, 10000. just wondering.

Went to SC for 10K service and was introduced to Honda's Green fully synthetic "Green" motor oil. As service was free and I have to top up about RM30, I decided to try. The result is not that impressive:

With normal semi synth oil, I was able to get about 24km/l for 80/20 highway / city driving before the service. At times I managed 25++ km/l but with the new green oil, it is about 20-23km/l for same driving condition and getting 20km /l was not as easy as before. The car revs seem easier and accelaration was noticably slightly quicker quicker but the fuel saving promise didn't deliver.

1. Anyone tried it yet? Any feedback
2. Heard that Insight fc decreases as the car gets older but at 10k, it shouldn't be. Its not that old icon_idea.gif

Tried both 'green' (0W) and 'red' (5W) fully synthetic. IMHO, the 'red' one performs better on FC and felt lighter at highway speed.

Its not the FC getting worst. In my case, my driving is back to the old ways and no longer try to maintain green meter all the time. Last time i can easily get 22-24km/l per tank driving turtle from Johor to Penang but now prefer at least 120 on highways and getting around 18km/l average.

but either "green" or "red" fully synthetic, they only give 5k km service interval rite?
i also going to service my car tomorrow...thinking which one to take now...

to use the coupon from the QnA session last time, just mention to them then they will deduct it automatically rite?
because so far i didnt received anything from honda after do the survey.

use fully synthetic does not give you service at 10K... well some machenic tell you laaa but generally you pay more expensive oil to improve your engine performance and to protect your engine not to prolong your service interval...

there is deposits and sludge from your engine that need to drain out...

I used them by showing the sms from HM. Got code in the sms.

Yeap. 5K interval even fully synth. Though I blatantly drag to 7K due to whatever reason.

IMHO, putting full-syn oil is unnecessary for 5k oil change intervals.

might as well just stick to semi-syn, save $$, and get peace of mind yr oil is flushed out regularly every 5km.

to me, the performance increase you get from full-syn does not justify the additional price we pay, especially 1 of the reasons many of us buy hybrid cars for fuel savings.

Hi, I just admired the facelift version in the show room. It looks even better compared to the first version for me. Sadly I don't have an Insight yet T_T.
Sorry to ask but is there any way to switch off the boot light? I like to prolong the 12V battery life...

Aaa doesn't really matter anyway, the car is perfect in my eyes smile.gif.....
