QUOTE(vaio_me @ Apr 9 2011, 06:25 PM) 1 or 2 months delayed? I've make a call to SA and she said will try to get for me by this month but have to change color from silver to white. I've no choice but to accept the offer. I still remain Silver color. My SA didn't offer to change. What color you pick for your car? Silver color easy to maintained .. .. |

QUOTE(limbryan @ Apr 10 2011, 12:21 AM) agree. NICE dude! how did u do it?Added on April 10, 2011, 10:25 amconfirmation that the Insight orders are all stopped from Japan as of today: After Mazda announced last week that it would halt orders on U.S. deliveries of all Japan-made cars, Honda has now decided to follow a similar action. Informing dealers that they can no longer order Japan-build cars, retailers will be forced to move only what is on their lot until the Japanese supply chain can be mended. Vehicles affected by the order include hybrid models like the CR-Z, Insight and Civic Hybrid, as well as some CR-V models (many of which are also build in North America). The Acura luxury division has also been affected, with the TSX and RL also made in Japan. With current dealer inventories, this shouldn’t pose a product shortage unless the delay is lengthy. Other Japanese automakers, including Mitsubishi, Nissan and Toyota, have yet to announce any such supply chain issues. http://www.autoguide.com/auto-news/2011/03...built-cars.html This post has been edited by infinitium: Apr 10 2011, 10:25 AM |

Hi, I'm still considering of getting an I2 but I am worry about how the IMA battery is going to react under the hot sun in this country. From what I've read from I2 owners in other country, the IMA battery will discharge by itself under hot weather and this will cause loss of power because the electric motor will not be able to assist. This also will greatly shorten the lifespan of the battery. This happened alot in the Civic Hybrid and the the IMA system used in the CIVIC is the same as in the one in I2.
Do any of the Malaysian I2 owner face problem with the IMA battery especially when parked under the hot sun for long period of time? |

My only concern is that the IMA Battery is not design for country with extreme hot weather like ours. |

QUOTE(s3nInsight @ Apr 10 2011, 06:27 PM) I2 = Insight Gen 2 In some part of US, there were areas where the temperature are even hotter than us. Not to say the humidity after winter. Still no battery complaint since I1 (since 1999).My only concern is that the IMA Battery is not design for country with extreme hot weather like ours. For me these battery issue are just hearsay. Maybe theres one or two isolated cases globally where battery spoils under warranty but it was more on the manufacturing defects rather than genuine or typical issues with the battery. U can always google around and look for any common problems with the car (if theres any). U can also read this long term test drive for example. http://cars.about.com/od/2010hondainsight/...sight_intro.htm |
